On holiday here and stumbled across this place.
Inside is decorated beautifully and the service is excellent
They have a nice little play area for little ones which my son loved.
The food and drink come out fast and easy very well presented.
Would highly recommend this place over the bigger chain cost a lot places.
Will definitely visit again

Wonderful experience every visit! Good variety and if you're not a fan of what you see you can switch it up or make your own creations (mine is the pineapple/strawberry Fruity One and then a strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries and Belgian chocolate sauce, then my partners is Greek yoghurt with peanut butter and pecans)
Lots of healthy options and smoothies, can have just fruit as well.

Visited for a meal and dessert on a busy Saturday afternoon. There was still plenty of room and we were kindly greeted on arrival and seated.
There was plenty of choice on the menu and we both had a waffle burger. Both were absolutely delicious as were the desserts.

Amazing place , friendly staff and great waffles. They even had Vegan waffles and could make almost all the waffle menu vegan.
Really like this place, food is great there's plenty for children to do with the arcade a mini softplay. Can recommend the cowboy chicken burger with halloumi fries 🤤
What a great place!! We were looking for some gluten free lunch and the Waffle house came up. Safe to say we were NOT disappointed! Food was amazing, and very generous portions too! The community spirit is very much alive here with local events, clubs and activities, the lego sculpture of the week firmly fixed to the wall, and community projects on display birth in the Waffle House and around the town! What a find!!
My colleague and I have worked from here a few times now. We are always given a lovely warm welcome and everyone working or volunteering here is helpful and friendly. At each hotdesk there is a plug and plenty of space to work. There are booths but we haven’t used them yet. Last week I had the most amazing waffle - The catchy one, it was delicious. It’s fish goujons with tartare sauce and a lovely colourful side salad. Thank you so much, we will see you again soon!

An absolutely delightful glorious little community center and waffle House coffee shop bookshop and meeting place all rolled into one.
A multifaceted space which although is located on the first floor was fully wheelchair accessible with the lift and that also makes it very useful for families with pushchairs etc. I went for breakfast and I had a waffle burger which was basically a breakfast inside a waffle lol.
It was fabulous and thoroughly recommend it.
One of the surprising things was that it is opposite what used to be River Cottage restaurant and adjacent to and overlooking a most beautiful town center churchyard and green space with well established trees and well-maintained garden.
As you'll see in the picture it makes the view out of the coffee shop stupendous and it really makes you feel like you're in acquaint little town which of course Axminster is. It was my first visit to Axminster and this was the first place I had been to eat and it certainly won't be in my last. Dogs are allowed inside the building and the restaurant coffee shop area and there were so many people meeting friends from the surrounding town and just getting together for coffee and waffles etc.
All the trappings of a standard coffee shop with the benefit of great staff good views and waffles!!
I'd Have a waffle over a waffle here any day.
It was my first time there, and I'll definitely be going back. I am gf and it is hard to find places to accommodate me. I had the waffle burger, and it was delicious.
The waffle fries are exceptional.

Visited here to catch up with a friend with children and It's a perfect little spot for this. Busy on a Saturday but we didn't have to wait for a table, and the service was quick and pleasant. Many young families and children here, so the atmosphere was alive in that sense. Plenty to entertain the kids (tabletop games and small amusement arcade)
Food was delicious and my smoothies was very tasty. Certainly worth a visit with children.
Hidden gem for children and families. Good portion sizes, but more importantly,resources to keep children at play ( from Lego to old fashioned space invader machines. Relaxed atmosphere, and you can even watch the buses go by outside from the window. Excellent coffee. Extensive waffle menu, inc. savoury options
Lovely and lively place. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Lots going on too. Waffle and smoked salmon salad was delicious! (Please note, the live event of the 24th is different, and the phone number on the brochure isn't correct)
Delicious 🤤 had the Classy one! Good service time! Play area for the kids very relaxed atmosphere! Will be coming back soon
The Community Waffle House 🧇 does exactly what it says on the tin - it is the heart of the community and serves up the BEST waffles. They have regular special waffles so there is always something new to choose from. The staff are all super friendly & helpful. Yes, it can get quite busy depending when you go, so just be patient if you do have to wait as it is 100% worth it! The founders live & breathe what this place is and that really comes across in the vibrancy of the place. If you can’t choose which waffle to go for, get the Awkward One! The smoothies are great too and the views are lush to look out over the Square in Axminster & watch the world go by.
We came here whilst on a visit to Axminster during our holiday in Lyme Regis. They were really busy, but we didn't mind and happily waited for a table. We ordered but was warned food would take half an hour. No bother for us, our youngest happily played on the arcade games and my husband, and our eldest and I just chatted. We were waiting for 40 mins just over for food and we were given some free drinks as a goodwill gesture and we didn't even mind. The food was absolutely amazing! We all ordered waffles except our youngest and was not disappointed, the halloumi fries were lovely too. Exceptional food, brilliant and friendly service and a great unique place. Highly recommend going here.
Popped in for drinks only but couldn't resist the warm waffles which were fantastic. There was a wide variety of milkshakes. My wife had a mint choc chip milkshake. Would return again if in the area.
Best authentic Belgian waffles. All varieties excellent, especially simplicity of maple syrup. Lively atmosphere and games to borrow to keep you entertained
