I brought my friend from America to try out the burgers 🍔 and she was truly impressed by the choice, taste, quality, and quantity. They're so delicious 😋. We'll no doubt have them again.

WOW 🤩 best burgers we’ve ever had!! On our hols. If only the cow and bean wasn’t 4 hours drive away from where we live, this would definitely be our chosen burger place every time for sure! Can’t recommend enough! We had the brisket and the tender rib burgers 🍔
Awesome food everytime I have been there, literally everything you expect from a decent burger joint. Highly recommend the filthy dirty fries and the brisket burgers are incredible the mrs loves the honey chicken, always check out the new updated menus if you get a chance. Good job guys :)
Wow! Have you ever walked away from a place smiling your face off (under a mask 😂) because you just had such a nice experience? That's exactly what happened to me after picking up a takeaway from here. I was made to feel so welcome and at home from both the owner and the front of house staff, that I was literally refreshed by the experience. Even though I could only order for takeaway, i know that I want to come here for food and even just for drinks with friends after lockdown, there is such an awesome vibe and is just what Axminster needs more of. Cannot wait for it.
I'd never eaten here before and decided we'd try it out. We had two American burgers and fries (and oh my goodness you get so many gorgeous fries). The burgers tasted fantastic, had the lovely melted cheese and the fries were just right. We will absolutely be ordering again and I recommend it to anyone.

We highly recommend this restaurant it's just AMAZING. The food is incredible, Ella and her team are always so welcoming and doing such a great job. We are currently working our way through the menu and can't pick a favourite as they are all ridiculously good and the garlic fries are out of this world.

WHO DOESN'T LIKE A SMASH-BURGER?? Lovely little gem in the middle of Axminster, fab menu, cocktails, great service. The perfect meal out with the family, or just for date night. May I recommend the jalapeno cheese burger? So yummy! Owner/operator Ella is lovely, and will look after you properly. Enjoy!
With delicious and reasonably priced food along with a complimentary drink on arrival this place is just wonderful. It has the atmosphere of eating in your friends lounge and the service is impeccable.
These burgers are epic. My wife had a pregnancy craving for the vegetarian burger so we ordered many of these over the course of 9 months. The veggie burger is the best I've tasted and it's so close to the beef in terms of taste I'm not sure how they do it. Whether you go for the vegetarian burger or the beef burger, you won't be disappointed. The owner and staff are great too. Highly recommend this place.
Ordered over the phone with a very polite member of the team and collected the food around 15 mins later. Couldn't really ask for more prompt service! The food was very hot too, even after the trip home so we definitely cooked nice and fresh.
The burgers (mushroom blue and garlic bacon) were outstanding, really tasty and filling. It's a shame we're not staying longer to be able to try more of the menu!
The dirty fries were great, a really nice strongly flavoured cheese sauce and lots of bacon bits. But be warned, the portion is huge - one portion could easily serve two people.
The only thing that let it down for me was the milkshake. I'd assumed (perhaps wrongly) that the milkshake would be a thick, ice cream based milkshake. Mine (banana) was just like simple milk with cream on top, nothing thick about it. Nice enough flavour, just disappointingly thin. Not enough to detract from a really good meal though.
Good food, plenty to eat and politely served at a fair price.

Hands down the best burgers around. Came over from Lyme Regis after ordering on the phone. High quality food, cooked perfectly. The children meals are a good size which is really nice. Will defiantly be ordering again. Food also well packaged.
From the moment we walked in, Ella and her staff were nothing short of excellent!! The drinks, especially the cocktails, were to die for and the food was sublime. Our table had a good selection of burgers, fries and sides and everyone left full + happy 😍
We will be going again very soon, and I can't recommend The Cow&The Bean enough!!

The burger as a meal was excellent, nicely put together, fab bun (seriously good bread - I want the recipe) , powerful sauces but not overly or heavy. The burger meat was clearly handmade with love, great flavour.
I could not fault this if I tried.

Best burgers ever! and I’m a burger eating man, eat in for fantastic service and music, this place is seriously good.
Take away is so well packed it’ll still be warm and fresh when you get home, no one likes a burger in a damp bun and you won’t get one.
Working through the menu, jalapeño is favourite so far.
