This is another great Colchester inn place to eat and drink. We had a flat iron steak with crispy beef and a wrap. Both meals were very tasty, big portions and great value for the size and quality.

It's a proper old market square pub with a tempting menu that makes it difficult to choose what to have. They do gluten free bread as well. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
Visited on a Friday evening after booking the day before for four people to celebrate my partners birthday. We're from out of area and received a warm greeting and had a nice corner table. Another couple were seated at a table alongside us and there wasn't quite enough room for one of them to sit
I can't really comment on rooms as we didn't stay however the food is fantastic. Went for Sunday lunch and couldn't fine a thing wrong with it. Meat cooked to perfection, great extras and the gravy was wonderful (and I'm picky about my gravy 🤦‍♀️).

Stayed here as a birthday weekend had a nice cosy room in the hotel. We arrived and had lunch which was a great and prompt service. The atmosphere, and service is second to none.
Lovely place with friendly attentive staff. Foods was cooked to perfection and they catered for a number of changes to the order without a problem. Highly recommend and will be returning next time we are in Aylsham.
