Brilliant wee place, great food, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and very reasonable prices, 100% recommend a visit if your in Ayr
The food was lovely and service was good. I have been before through the day and always enjoyed it. Good value for money. So we had a night at the theatre planned and Thought it would do a pre theatre menu but it was all full price. Apart from that it was a lovely meal. But get the same meal through the day for a bit less.
Absolutely amazing meal, best nachos iv ever tasted! Great menu, great prices and friendly welcoming staff. One of the best restaurants in Ayr.
As always the lunch was the best I’ve had the service and staff are so lovely. The quality and attention to detail is quality and my husband loved the pork belly....highly recommend
We stayed in Ayr for 4 nights. 2 we spent at Saffys. From the outside it would be easy to walk pass as it doesn't look much. However on entering it's a completely different story. The staff were fantastic. The ambiance was lovely. Music in the background but not too loud. The food. Oh lord where do I begin. It was fabulous. Tasty. Full of flavour. They don't scrimp on portions and everything is served piping hot. Thank you to The Inverlea Guest House for recommending you. Will definitely pass on our experience to others xx
My daughter & I found this wee place completely by accident. To say its good is an understatement its just excellent. Staff very accomadating & friendly, food & service just excellent. Very quaint wee place, a hidden gem.
Unpretentious little bistro. We had heard some good things about this little restaurant so decided to pop down and give it a try. It was fairly quiet for early Sat evening but didn't feel cold or empty. The menu really had something for everyone with a good selection of veggie options, not just dishes with meat taken out. For the carnivores, there was everything from haggis stuffed chicken to lamb tagine. Hubby had pork on crushed potatoes with black pudding and said it was 'excellent'. We didn't have room for dessert but the ice-cream with Scottish tablet sounded fab (you can just hear local dentists counting the cash!). Our bill for 2 starters, 2 mains, 3 wines, a soft drink and a coffee came to a reasonable £42. Service was quick, efficient and friendly without being intrusive. All in all a lovely little place with good, imaginative cooking done in a non-pretentious way....we'll def be back.
Saffy's location is funny, it took me a while to find the place as they're off the main streets and shops in Ayr . But I was determined to have lunch there, so I was more than happy when I eventually saw their sign on the street. It was worth the trek. Sa
Lovely bistro just a short walk from the train station. Was in town for the day and found this on Google. Ordered the chowder and fish cake. Both amazing - fresh and homemade. Just lovely.
I spent 3 days in Ayr visiting a friend and she raved about this restaurant so we finally got around to going there on my last evening before moving on as they'd been closed for a couple of days and then were fully booked when we first tried to get in. We got a table around 8pm and it was still packed with people then - it looks like the go to spot in Ayr for grub and now I know why; food was super tasty and I'd go as far to say it was one of the nicest meals I had during my 10 days or so travelling throughout Scotland. Restaurant was really busy but the staff were really attentive and made sure everyone was happy with everything.
Good food for good prices, nice clean and tidy building. Highly recommended & will visit again when next in the area.
Food was lovely and staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely go back again. The Cajun chicken curry was beautiful and the greedy pig burger was delicious, however it was messy 😆
A small establishment by one of the corners by Dalblair road. Cosy and warm interior , great atmosphere for small gatherings and meet up with friends. Great hospitality from the staffs too. A great variety of dishes on the menu with a taste of global fusion. It’s certainly a place to try while you’re in Ayr.

Amazing service. The food was delicious. Then unfortunately my father became unwell and the care the staff gave was superb. They called an ambulance and gave space and privacy for the paramedic to deal with the situation. We truly appreciated all the help given. We hopefully will go back for a less eventful meal soon! I just love this place, the food is always first class, fresh and consistently delicious. Having now eaten here on several occasions, I can honestly say I’ve never even had a single bad dish. Love it.
Went here for a spot of dinner, clearly not a place to turn up late and booking is wise. The food was very good and the price very reasonable. We had a sharing dish to start that was varied, little heavy on the deep fried components, but all very good quality. The main courses were generous and we were able to select decent red and white wines to go with our food. The cheese plate was also good and eagerly shared. Well worth a visit.
We had a lovely meal here. The staff were really friendly. They were also very careful about covid, wearing masks at all times. We really enjoyed our local (bottled) ales: Ayr's own Leezie Lundie and Jolly Beggars. The food was delicious yet very reasonably priced, with many locally sourced options. I highly recommend this lovely bistro.
Lovely little place that's often overlooked. Everyone really enjoyed everything they had and absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Will definitely be back.
Really fresh and delicious food here. Would definitely come back and very happy with their menu.
