Excellent bar and grill. Clean, comfortable surroundings. A menu of expected classics such as fish and chips, chicken and leek pie and the dishes we had were really well cooked and of a really good quality. This is a dog friendly place and even has its own menu for dogs including sausages (photo added) puppychino and more. The staff are really friendly and the prices reasonable. Highly recommended place to eat and drink.
Very nice homely food, try not to be to fancy but really enjoyed it. Only down fall was there was a crowd at the next table who were being loud and seemed to know the bar staff by name which ruined my experience.
Lovely bar. Friendly helpful staff. Straight across from bus station. Next trip to Ayr will definitely visit this pub again.
Nice dog friendly pub with decent food and friendly staff. Food is well worth the price the pub is bigger than it looks with a pub garden at rear well worth a look.

We arrived without pre-booking a table, the staff were so welcoming and got a table for us within minutes.
Great menu for both adults and kids.
We were honestly surprised at how reasonable the bill was for 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals plus 4 desserts and drinks.
We will definitely be back next time we are down that way👌

We went for a meal after seeing it was recommended as a dog friendly eatery. Certainly not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and they even had a doggy menu!! Sasha our Huskey had boiled chicken and rice and she loved it. Our meals were very good and would highly recommend No 8 Bar & Grill if you are visiting with your doggy.
Had theee most delicious meal this afternoon - lamb kofta kebab and pita bread. Excellent service very friendly. Carry on the good work 5 star
Had an engagement dinner here staff couldn't do enough , food was lovely and drinks were plentiful and no queue near expensive would recommend 👌

Great place. We were on holiday with our dog so this was perfect. Bud got a bowl of water straight away then ordered the puppuccino. He was delighted with it! Sausages came next, happy doggie. The garlic mushrooms are yummy and recommend the steak pie delicious every bite pure steak 🤗

I arrived in Ayr by bus after 5pm , in need of a coffee and cake prior to my son picking me up.
No 8 was new to me only one other customer and two staff. The reception was pleasant the premises clean,modern and comfortable.
I had a latte with biscotto ( £3.40 ) which I consider very reasonable.
I has to drive later in the evening which, obviously meant I couldn't enjoy a drink.
I will be back at a later date.
Again didnt dissappoint went last year food was grt and staff phoned ahead as was going back down 4 a few days and ordered a fillet steak for my dinner on tuesday with the wife also went monday grt food on both occasions also steak cooked 2 perfection med,rare didnt dissapoint again grt portions and again staff welcoming and friendly will be back and definetly recommend 👍
Pleasant atmosphere somewhere between cafe, restaurant and bar. The menu has a reasonable if not large range of types of food. The pasta dish I had was well prepared and enjoyable. The staff were polite and helpful.
