My favourite place in Yorkshire!. The Jacobean Pub is fantastic all round. Beautiful old decor, lovely atmosphere, a great pint and the food is absolutely incredible.
The carvery on a Sunday is out of this world!

Nicely refurbished since my last visit. Brought up to date but not overdone. Food was really good. Well presented and perfectly prepared.

Fun pub attached to the Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel with pretty good food and quality for the price you pay. The atmosphere is good. The staff is alright, but a little busy on the day we were here (I guess because of a bigger party connected to an event in one of their convention rooms?).
All in all definitely a good stop on the road

Dropped in for lunch and can recommend the pie. The egg and chips were good too, no problem removing the gammon from the meal when we asked. Good service from people who know what to do right.
Had a small lager but if I was looking for a good ale, I would have been disappointed today.

We ordered two J2O's, a lime and soda, and an order of pork scratching and sat out on the patio. It was absolutely perfect. A nice view with quite surroundings and an occasional car.

The food is really good here. The portions are large, too. It gets really busy so booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
