Delicious, creative & fresh (mainly local) ingredients in a cosy and relaxing environment. We returned twice to enjoy the wonderful food during our short stay (4 days 3 nights) at Bakewell. Best “lamb duo” we ever had in our lifetime! Highly recommended.

What can i say. From walking through the door and greeted by amazing and welcoming staff for starters, the food was sensational. Would highly recommend. Can't fault a thing, many thanks to you all.

An absolutely amazing restaurant. Went today for my Mum's birthday. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. Bakewell sour is my new favourite drink now. My children loved their pizzas. My fish and chips (forgot to take a photo) was delicious! Love the mushy peas. Will definitely be back

We were recommended this place by our lovely BnB hosts as one of their top places to eat, their recommendation definitely hit the mark.
The staff were the friendliest we'd encountered in the area, but remained professional so they should be commended for this.
The food was exceptionally good too, my partner had fish pie, which was one of the specials, and I had the black and blue burger.
The burger was excellent as the stilton worked perfectly with the mushroom, so I was very pleased to get that burger instead of the Cajun burger I was going to get.
For pudding we had a sundae each (Eton mess and chocolate brownie). These finished off our meal nicely as we needed a bit of sweet after all of the savory.
For what we got we expected the bill to be higher too, so very impressed with The Woodyard, and we will be back next year for another visit.

This place is the hidden gem in Bakewell. Great staff, great food in a pleasant and welcoming environment. One of the best meal we’ve had in a long time.
Again in keeping with most of Bakewell the soft and alcoholic drinks are massively overpriced when you consider it’s a Marston establishment.
So if in the area a must visit but book as lots got turned away even though it was a Thursday evening.

Congratulations to the owners, the chefs and front of front-of-house staff. Excellently prepared meals served by attentive and polite staff in a relaxing and modern environment.
The main menu included meat, fish and vegetarian options, and I understand they also have a vegan menu too.
My wife and I with our two dogs enjoyed the experience so much that we rebooked the next day.
If we had found this place earlier we would have eaten here every day.

We had early dinner here. We are vegetarian so had vegetarian dishes only. Every dish was delicious, we had Nachos, garlic pizza bread, vegetarian pizza, mountain burger, asparagus risotto and few drinks (cocktail and mocktails).
Service was fast, staff was good.
They have very less vegetarian options so I would request that they should add more vegetarian varieties especially should do vegetarian pasta (not everyone eats mushroom). I recommend this place for a yummy meal.

We came here for a hen do and the staff were great! We ordered massive quantities of cocktails and they were came quickly without any mistakes. The food was also quick and tasty. I had a shared starter of vegan nachos and it was definitely my favourite thing I ate here, they were really yummy. I didn’t enjoy my pizza as much, it tasted fresh but it just had way too much cheese on it for me. Good variety of vegan and vegetarian options though and all of the cocktails I had were excellent!

Nice ambiance and good service. Food was decent (good considering the limited options around for dinner).
- We had seafood pizza which was a bit too salty.
- The sirloin steak was a tad bit chewy but not bad.
- Got what was said to be fresh juice, but it was definitely not freshly squeezed.
we also had soup and salad and a beer, so overall great prices and well worth a visit if you’re around the area!
