Location is very good as it's right in the middle of town. The downside is that some rooms get traffic noise.
Very limited parking.
The dining room is fab. High ceiling, lots of interesting paintings. We had a lovely Sunday roast and crumble for dessert. Breakfast also very good with buffet and cook
No stars for rooms as I haven't stayed here. Came for a last minute Sunday lunch. Sorry we were in our walking clothes, but it was best Sunday lunch my partner and I have had for a while, staff were all lovely pleasant and professional. All the food was fresh and tasty and the service was warm and friendly. The decor is stunning but they didn't seem to mind us being in our casual clothes!

Overall a lovely place with nice staff, but lacking some attention to detail. We booked the deluxe suite for a one night stay for a special occasion (£200). Room very nice but disappointing details such as bathrobes provided but missing the waist cords, so could not be worn closed, rooms unbearably
Went for afternoon tea. Friendly staff, nice array of sandwiches and cakes, including gluten free. Unforeseen substitution for children's menu, rectified by staff uppon request. Dog accepted in the bar area.

A 3 day break booked in the Rutland Arms Hotel, situated in the centre of the fantastic town of Bakewell, if you’ve never visited , put it on your todo list you won’t be disappointed.
We booked a first floor room at a cost of £200 a night B&B, the hotel does not have any lifts.

Stumbled upon this fabulous establishment after being turned away as walk ins for a table for 2 elsewhere locally.
The standard of food, service and décor are simply exceptional and in our opinion simply the best you will find in Bakewell.

The corridor to the room was lovely and cool just the room was way too hot and we couldn't cool it down. To the point where I checked radiators etc.
Romantic and quiet hotel. Just one day of our breakfast had not fruit yogurt and the vegan sausage was not to my liking.. but all was good. Coffee and tea in the room and the chocolate added everyday with the coffee was a nice treat
