The Square Restaurant - Bakewell - Photo album

Location is very good as it's right in the middle of town. The downside is that some rooms get traffic noise. Very limited parking. The dining room is fab. High ceiling, lots of interesting paintings. We had a lovely Sunday roast and crumble for dessert. Breakfast also very good with buffet and cook
No stars for rooms as I haven't stayed here. Came for a last minute Sunday lunch. Sorry we were in our walking clothes, but it was best Sunday lunch my partner and I have had for a while, staff were all lovely pleasant and professional. Two young girls in the restaurant very polite and attentive. Or
This was my second time eating here. I love the decor in the dining rooms. The venue is dog friendly, even providing water bowls and complementary dog treats. The menu is not so extensive that it's difficult to choose, but there are plenty of options. We chose a few vegan dishes to share, including
All the food was fresh and tasty and the service was warm and friendly. The decor is stunning but they didn't seem to mind us being in our casual clothes! I'd highly recommend the restaurant. It was quite expensive but felt it was worth it for the beautifully presented and tasty food and the excell
Overall a lovely place with nice staff, but lacking some attention to detail. We booked the deluxe suite for a one night stay for a special occasion (£200). Room very nice but disappointing details such as bathrobes provided but missing the waist cords, so could not be worn closed, rooms unbearably
Went for afternoon tea. Friendly staff, nice array of sandwiches and cakes, including gluten free. Unforeseen substitution for children's menu, rectified by staff uppon request. Dog accepted in the bar area.
Had a great two-night stay. The room was small (in the courtyard)but had everything you needed and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. The coffee house has a relaxing vibe and the coffee is amazing. We left the do not disturb sign on the door and later found a
Lovely food and setting. Poor servers had no chance of giving a great service as there was too few of them. They were kind though
A 3 day break booked in the Rutland Arms Hotel, situated in the centre of the fantastic town of Bakewell, if you’ve never visited , put it on your todo list you won’t be disappointed. We booked a first floor room at a cost of £200 a night B&B, the hotel does not have any lifts. Pros; The staff were
I was here with family members on a trip to Bakewell. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and a glass of wine. I'd recommend the Rutland Arms. A very friendly place serving great food
Stumbled upon this fabulous establishment after being turned away as walk ins for a table for 2 elsewhere locally. The standard of food, service and décor are simply exceptional and in our opinion simply the best you will find in Bakewell. The verity of menu options, quality of ingredients, presen
4 of us were holidaying in the area and popped in for a light lunch......excellent menu choices, food was lovely, freshly prepared and served promptly, generous portions, definitely good value for money, staff very friendly and helpful. Will be visiting again for sure.
The room was unbearably hot. Everything else was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. The corridor to the room was lovely and cool just the room was way too hot and we couldn't cool it down. To the point where I checked radiators etc.
Romantic and quiet hotel. Just one day of our breakfast had not fruit yogurt and the vegan sausage was not to my liking.. but all was good. Coffee and tea in the room and the chocolate added everyday with the coffee was a nice treat
My husband and I have just returned from an amazing trip with The Rutland Hotel in Bakewell. The hotel is central to Bakewell village so is easily accessible to the village and the main sights nearby. The staff were so welcoming and wonderful from the moment we stepped in the door. They even gave us
