Been visiting Ballater for a while now but had never known about this wee chippy as up a side street. Lovely young lad serving who was polite and efficient. The food was cooked to order and was a lovely traditional fish and chips which we really enjoyed.
Fantastic gluten free fish and chips for me, and my husband enjoyed his haggis supper. I phoned to pre order and the food was fresh on collection. Really nice girls on the counter. I highly recommend!
Stopped here on way to Braemar and both had a lovely takeaway meal. Fish supper and black pudding supper. Everything cooked fresh, toasty hot and tasted lovely. Service was excellent with polite staff. Would definitely go back when passing through. Can highly recommend their fish and chips.
Have only good things to say about this place. Chips were large and tasty, cod was thick and fresh. Below average portions for £7.50, but it filled us up nonetheless. Totally reliable, have collected food here on behalf of Balmoral residents for many years. "Someone special" is often impressed (although I don't see Her Majesty eat), I merely get a "thanks for the excellent food"...which is good enough for me.

A small hidden jewel! Take out only -- no sitting area. Fish and chips are great, but they also serve pizza, burgers, and fried chicken strips. Everything comes with chips.
Nice wee chippy - very busy as only one in immediate area. Shuts at 9pm so not one for a late night. Bought food for a group and everyone enjoyed it.
Absolutely fantastic, food was made to order but was still ready quick. And I honestly haven't had a better chip supper in a long time.
