Bright, casual dining, and bar in lovely location. Food was fine, but soup wasn't the vegetable broth l expected & my pizza had a very tough base. My wife's fish & chips was far tastier. Staff were pleasant, but not overly attentive. (I ordered an extra portion of fries, they never materialised, but I was charged. However, this was deducted from the bill.) Having mentioned all the above, we did enjoy our late lunch and afternoon at the Boat House.
The Boathouse is a very modern, clean and lovely place to eat. I took my husband for his birthday and we had delicious olives, an excellent steak and tasty fish and chips.
It was quiet when we went and the service was excellent - going at 12pm midweek seemed like a good time.
P.S the fries are out of this world!

Stopped in for a drink and some food after Dog show. Got great service from lovely Fiona. Sat outside and views were stunning.
Casual atmosphere down by the marina. Some of the best mussels I’ve ever had. We ate at the Grill the previous night (also at Cameron House) and this was far better and much more reasonable.
If there were a picture in the dictionary next to "excellent service" you would see a picture of this place with the manager Leigh in the foreground. A waiter saw I was looking at basketball and decided to strike up a conversation, nothing invasive just enough to feel welcome. On top of this the food is lovely. And as you can see from the pictures, the theme is Carried throughout, with the marina in the background and subtle hints that you are indeed in "the boat house". Strongly recommend.
Food and service was phenomenal! Was out a day trip and glad I stopped by. Staff where professional and made me feel welcome. The chefs have talent and the scenery speaks for its self! Highly recommend! My new favourite place!
Friendly staff and a great standard of service. Great food and a nice atmosphere. The location is stunning with views of the Marina and Loch Lomond. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Afternoon tea at the Boathouse restaurant. Very cute restaurant with comfy sofas and a nice atmosphere overlooking the marina. The afternoon tea itself was slightly hit and miss - the sandwiches were slightly on the dry side, but the cakes and scones were gorgeous. We had a voucher for afternoon tea at half the price, but wouldn’t rush back for tea at full price. However, the main restaurant dishes ordered by other patrons looked and smelled delicious, so I would pop by for dinner if I was in the area.
The location is wonderful, menu is also very nice, not as expensive as the other restaurants of cameron house. Always try to book in advance the views from the restaurants are amazing. The Staff is also very nice, there are couple of main car parks of Cameron house in the beginning, you don't need to park there, there is dedicated parking right besides the boat house.
Absolutely loved it, what a great family facility, dogs were allowed in, which is fine by me but some were up on sofa! And I feel lots of people coming along afterwards would not be so happy taking lots of dog hair home.
We visited the Boat House during August 2020 during a visit to Loch Lomond.
The service was very good and it was nice to see the kitchen and be able to see the food being made.
Lovely views and definitely worth trying.
We had the special that day which was Lobster Wellington. It was very nice.
Stopped here for a delicious lunch. Highly recommend and the views are stunning.
We struggled to understand the bad reviews?! Such a great place and the location is amazing! The weather was dry so we ate on the balcony and the staff we very warm and welcoming throughout. The fish and chips were outstanding too! Thank you for playing a part in our honeymoon! We won’t forget our trip to the boathouse!
