Visited for 1st time on Sunday as a family of 4. Pleasant staff and surroundings with good service. Kids meals great value and the slow braised beef was exceptional. Definitely have to plan another visit.

Food was Great and the staff are 1st class. Kudos to the Sunday morning team, absolutely tremendous service. Would recommend.

Ordered 4 different meals by phone. They were tasty on time, individually boxed up. We found it easier just to cut off the lid and serve them that way. Excellent food. Great portions.

Called here on spec for lunch. Never heard of it but noticed it was award winning restaurant. I have a severe Wheat and egg allergy and they customised my meal to suit me. Really enjoyed my meal which was very tasty and well presented. We were pleasantly surprised when we got the bill as it was very reasonable. We will certainly go back

Went to Greys for first time last evening and we were pleasantly surprised by the kind staff and seating. Not many in when we arrived, but several parties and groups of people came in and created a good atmosphere. I had chilli beef for starters and my wife had the beetroot salad and both delicious. For mains we both had the roast beef with mash and baby roast potatoes accompanied by Yorkshire pudding filled with carrots and parsnips in a rich wine gravey. The beef was so tender and we'll cooked it almost melted in the mouth. A real splendid dish. We don't normally have desert but for an extra £2 how could you turn it down. My wife had lemon meringue and I went for the ice cream accompanied with shortbread again very well presented and tasty. All washed down with a fine wine. I can't recommend Greys to highly a beautiful meal with very helpful attentive staff.10/10

Food was ok, service terrible. Arrived today to meet a friend who had already arrived ahead of me so water had been provided at the table. Another table seated beside us not long after I had arrived. After waiting quite a while the waitress came to take the order......at the table seated after us! Thankfully the lovely girl at the other table pointed the waitress in our direction as it must have been apparent that we were still waiting to order. Order taken, 2 sandwiches, 2 fries a tea and a coffee. When the tea & coffee arrived the waitress asked my friend what bread she wanted her sandwich on, without a glance in my direction!? Tea for me, no spoon provided so had to borrow my friends who had ordered a coffee. Food didn't take too long to arrive, but we only received 1 portion of fries. We drew this to the waitresses attention (different waitress from who took the order) who went to get another one for is. The original waitress eventually brought it out to us asking who ordered the extra fries? Errrr no pet they aren't extra you just didn't take the order correctly but too polite to say this it was accepted without any issue raised. We ate our food which again I will say was ok, it was nothing special, sat and had a chat. All in we were there probably a good 30/45 minutes after finishing and not once did anyone clear the table, ask if we wanted anything else or ask if everything was ok. Eventually we got up to leave and went to the counter to pay. Had to re iterate what we had to the girl behind the counter to pay before she finally found our bill. Can honestly say that I was so disappointed by today's service that I won't be back. Pity really as it was in the pipeline to get up for an evening meal with the other half but I think its safe to say we will be going elsewhere. I'm unsure how this place received an award operating the way it does. I think if they sorted out the service it would make such a huge difference as the food was ok. Just to add that my friend who lives locally mentioned that this was s return visit for her and the service was as poor previously also so I don't believe this was a one off occurrence.

Went in for breakfast with my wife and daughter. Were seen to very quickly, food was made fresh and place was spotless. Highly recommend

had a meal here last night the food was delicious I had the salt an chilli beef to start burger for main both were cooked to perfection will definitely be back the staff are all friendly and nothing is to much trouble for any of the staff
