Review Masala Club - Balsall Common

Really one of the best Curry houses in the area. Food fab. Lovely atmosphere and such friendly staff. My friend isn't a big curry fan but loved the good and drink.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff, food is quite nice but does not stand out from many other places.

We stayed at the Premier Inn while exhibiting at an expo at the NEC and ended up eating at the Masala Club 2 nights in a row because it was so good! Merlin (forgive me if I've spelled your name wrong) and the other staff were fantastic. He made sure we had everything we needed, suggested dishes we'd like and the food was exquisite. Many dishes we had not seen before!

Food was excellent service can't fault very friendly staff and helpful.

Really excellent dinner experience. We were 3 adults and 2 children. Waiters very happy to supply a high chair. Pleasant and efficient service. Drinks and food served in good time. Quality of food was superb - up there with the very best of Indian restaurants in the West Midlands. Unusually child-friendly with complimentary toy/ice-cream and chocolates. Overall outstanding food and service and will most definitely return - a terrific evening out. Thank you.

Really special food at The Masala Club this evening. We had a group of seven yet the orders arrived in timely fashion and were some of the best Indian dishes we had tasted. Do NOT be put off by the apparently severe staff, they are just being efficient and professional and there is a smile in there too! Recommended absolutely.

Very delicious food. Variety of curry flavours to choose. Very friendly and helpful staff. Takes reservation and keeps the table available although you can see some people keep stopping by asking for table (but no reservation). Took about 45 mins to prepare meal for us 2 adults and 1 child. The staff even gave half price for half amount of me prepared compared to normal menu. Would drop by again if in the neighborhood.

We have been to this restaurant several times now and NEVER had a bad meal. The food is always great, very tasty and is always hot. The service is also spot on, the staff are very friendly and polite. I would highly recommend Masala Club to anyone wanting a curry in the area.

We had a meal here last week - excellent service & food & particularly helpful has I I didn't want anything too hot! We were v well looked after by Ahmed... even held the door open for us as we left... those small things all make a difference. We much look forward to our next visit.

Long and correct review! Been in tonight after a long day at the NEC. The atmosphere was amazing, instantly greeted by one gentleman who was happy to assist, sat us down and took our drinks order. Hung around to have a chat briefly which was really nice, left us for a few minutes to think about our food choices and happily took them down. Service was warm, welcoming and it felt like we'd been coming for years and that we were really a part of the restaurant. Service was 10/10. Food was amazing, bhajee starter was the best I've ever tasted, it was light and not dripping with oil but had all if not more punch than any I've ever had before. The sauces given with poppadoms were left at the table, something I've never seen before so really loved that. The lamb Rogan josh with Pilau rice was amazing, the curry itself was very rich and tasty, and you could tell it was cooked in house and not out of a packet. The lamb was incredible, moist and just melted like butter. The fat was a bit jelly like for my tasting but did not take away from the meal at all. The rice was amazing, again, you could tell it was home cooked - light, fluffy and aromatic. Peshwari naan was beautiful, again, homecooked. It was fluffy and very sweet and had some drizzling of honey which was a nice touch. Food was off the scale, a solid 15/10. I didn't finish it all which felt like a shame because it was such good food, portions were good sizes, not too much of anything. I've found with other Indian restaurants they can give too much rice for your curry which was not the case here. Service was relaxed, incredibly friendly, honestly felt like we had been going for years the way we were treat by the staff and I will be visiting again. Unfortunately I am not local and live 2 and a half hours away but it would be worth the travel just for this restaurant in all honesty, unlike anything I've ever experienced. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone, from old friends meeting up to a party of 10. If I could change anything it would just be the table size for 2 people. Quickly becomes a little crowded but this is bearable and does not take away from the overall experience. Thanks to the staff for such an amazing experience.

Truly Sensational Curry!!! This is our local curry and its great. The food is fresh whether you eat in or get a take away. Portion sizes are good and service is outstanding. Been here many times and never get bored of the food. Go Here.

Beautiful Restaurant. We visit the masala club quite often. The food and service has always been top. There are ample car parking spaces all around the restaurant. It's a modern restaurant with traditional Indian setting. Good place if you want to impress colleagues or friends. Prices are fair considering the quality of the food- good value for money. Always a busy place and its always wise to book in advance

Charity dinner for Save the Children. This is our 10th year of holding our annual dinner here because it is the best possible restaurant we could go to !<br/>The manager ensures that only the highest standards will do. The décor is clean,fresh and attractive; the food is delicious with very generous portions (there is obviously an excellent chef) and the waiters are friendly and courteous and go out of there way to make sure that everyone has a good evening.<br/>Due to the generosity of the management a lot of money is made for Save the Children.<br/>I would recommend this top class restaurant to anyone.
