Castle Inn - Bamburgh - Photo album

The Castle was closed up due to the weather and I was rather disappointed, having traveled from Canada to see it, so the hope was to at least have some local comfort cuisine and a pint to drown my sorrows. The northerner style fish soup and a pint of Bamburgh Amber was exactly what I needed. Cheers!
Typical British weather...down poor with a dog! The pub welcomed us with open arms! So friendly! Doggy ice-cream. BUT...The Classic Fish Soup stole the show! You will not be disappointed. Mountains of fresh fish in a tomato (Boston Chowder style) and tarragon rich soup.
Staff was lovely, as well as the food. We came in on a rainy afternoon after visiting the castle. The pumpkin sweet potato soup was just the thing to warm me up. Let's not forget that gleaming amber pint behind the soup. I was a big fan of this Bambourgh Amber from Born Brewery that is kept on t
Staff made us very welcome on a rather cold and very wet day. Lunch for 5 served up promptly with a smile. Good choice of real beers and food enjoyed by all.
We went in here a lot in our week stay. For food and drinks or just drinks. Lovely crab sandwiches and prawns on jacket potato. Lemon meringue was well worth ordering and sticky toffee pudding. Loads of tables to eat inside and outside. Lovely friendly service and staff and felt very comfortable in
Quiet when I arrived, good atmosphere and pleasant service. Real ale range limited to choice of two but good ale Did not eat so cannot comment. Extremely dog friendly.
Very nice pub for a relaxing drink & meal. We ate here several times with our dog & were always made to feel welcome. The meals were very reasonably priced & delicious. There is a large garden for when the weather is good.
Absolutely amazing food. Was quiet when we went there and the catering staff were amazing in refilling salt and drinks.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining in this beautiful Hotel last night. This was the final leg of a 630 mile road trip and i can't praise the place highly enough. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food was out if this world, we had the fish stew and Ribeye steak. We really c

A really nice place for a drink or a meal. Very dog friendly with lots of space both inside and in the rear garden. We called in after a fascinating but exhausting walk around wonderful Bamburgh Castle. We needed a drink and this was the perfect spot. A warm welcome and quick and efficient staff wi
