Lovely warm and welcoming local pub with delicious food, cooked by lovely chef Bob. Definitely recommend the handmade pizzas.
It’s rare to find a pub that caters for vegetarians, vegans and GF, especially as I noticed on their menu that they do so for younger people too. Excellent food, service and good beer to boot! A genuinely great pub that will hopefully keep up their standards. A pleasure to pay for an excellent visit
Wow, best roast I have had out. OMG the apple pie crumble is the best!! Decent portion sizes very unusual for a roast these days. Friendly staff and the chef is very friendly. Thank You
Fantastic place, great beer/ales and a massive selection of gin. Sunday roast is to die for and the banter is always top notch. Next time im in Bampton this will be my first stop!
Best fillet steak and glorious sticky toffee pud! Chef passionate about produce and so skilled. Staff super friendly. Visited Bampton on our trip around Exmoor National Park and surrounding area. So glad we stopped here for our Sunday lunch.
The pub is a great friendly place. As vegetarians me and my wife were offered multiple delicious foods and not just the usual standard one choice option as with the other establishments in the area. Also Bob the landlord is friendly and always up for a chat. Ask about his travelling life for a fun a
Popped in on the off chance looking for a late Sunday bite to eat. Had initial concerns when we entered "locals territory" but the atmosphere was quickly recognised as friendly. To top it off, Sunday lunch was delicious, generous and not over complicated. Perfect! If we are ever in the area again, w
Red Snapper and Spiced Oriental Stir Fry was delicious with just the right degree of heat in the spice, 3 pieces of Southern Fried Chicken with chips and as the Chef said you probably couldnt eat the larger 6 piece size. and he was right. Friendly atmosphere and although short staffed at the time wa
This year we decided to give this pub a go for a Christmas Party which involved a party of 30. Right from the outset Bob the landlord was fully on board with what we wanted and gave us a good and varied choice of menu to choose from. I chose the Pork Kahuni with coconut rice a Japanese inspired dish
What a refreshing change to rediscover a genuine pub, with genuine people using common sense! Come and visit, Bob and Laila will make you welcome. Lovely meals, all enjoyed but why did Becky Lou get the biggest portion? Bob..... that's favouritism!🤔
