Me and a friend were stuck for a nice place to eat and catch up on a weekday and had heard this place had good food. Well we heard wrong... this place serves AMAZING FOOD! The duck on the pond is a hidden gem! Its Land Lady is professional and polite, our waitress was lovely and the Black Forest sundae was to die for � I would highly recommend visiting this cute little pub. We went this evening so it was dark but the patio looks perfect for an afternoon pint. Thank you very much x

Visited yesterday with family on our way back home from a wedding in Daventry. Beautiful, quaint little pub and the food was to die for! We were a table of 8 with two small toddlers and even the children’s meals were amazing. Very clean and lovely village pub. My only fault was the position of the baby changing table, a little awkward to say the least but in a toilet so tiny I can understand the logic in where it’s placed. All in all a fabulous place and we will definitely visit again in the warmer months

Absolutely brilliant. Went for a family meal (including our 18th month old daughter) and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food was second to none and the setting was loverly. Would highly recommend and will most certainly be returning. Thanks very much for a loverly evening.

Incredible food in idyllic setting. The new menu from the new owners is fantastic. This is not standard ‘pub grub’ … this is fine dining offering exceptional value for money. I cannot wait to see how the place develops as they grow more and more produce on site. Highly highly recommend!

Lovely lunch ! With some lovely friends. My pigs head was delicious and my friend enjoyed their walnut and blue cheese salad ! Met some super people as they wanted to pet our dogs . Also met the chef tending his new garden which will be fabulous once it’s matured ! Can’t wait to go back .
Had a great meal here with some close friends. We all had a mixture of things from the menu from the pate to the salmon, the soup to start, all was delicious. A nice selection of beers and wines are available, and the atmosphere is great. The staff are super attentive and look after you well.

Multiple menus with same items made it a bit confusing to choose from, and overall not much variety available. However, the food and ingredients felt like they were good quality and service was immaculate. The garden to plate (0 mile) aspect of our meal really did make a huge difference to us, we loved knowing that we were eating locally produced food. We had hoped the outdoor seating tables would have better placement and views so as to not be next to the car park, but nevertheless it was quiet and pleasant there for a Saturday afternoon.
Discovery by chance but exceeded expectations. A beautiful wander thru the Cotswold lanes then a fabulous lunch at the duck. As we would say in Australia “Off the beaten track” but a gem!

A wonderful lunchtime pub set in beautiful countryside surroundings. Enjoyed a fabulous meal with my family sitting outside in the sun, but under a parasol. Enjoyed a varied choice of great food from the 3 course set menu - absolutely delicious. Wine was delicious too. Not too expensive, and a super memory of a special family lunch - thank you!
Fantastic food and amazing service. The appetisers for Starr and chocolates at the end were such a lovely touch. The manager and her staff looked after us so well ...really impressed. We both had the fillet of beef which was fantastic quality and extremely well cooked
Lovely place. Beautiful food, friendly staff, nice decor. Sadly, it let dogs in and while we were there some dogs were scrapping in the entranceway which I found quote off-putting. Car park outside is very handy. Nice selection of drinks. Possibly a tad expensive but very nice so I guess that's okay!

We had the fortune to get a 7.15pm table for two and dogs were allowed inside. Good Friday just gone. We loved the cosy atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and professional. What followed was the most amazing meal we've had in a while! Fantastic Ale and cheese soup which we ordered because we could smell as the table next to us had ordered. Had the Pork Belly and my partner the chicken main....both absolutely delicious and the pudding to share also beautiful. Staff were fantastic- great job! Highly recommend!
Mushroom Wellington like I’ve never know. The potatoes… roasted to perfection. I can see why everyone is talking about this place and the new ownership is doing bits.
Booked as a halfway point for a family lunch and hadn't been before, so was a bit of a stab in the dark.
Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Absolutely delicious food. Generous Sunday lunch - I'm a bit fussy with vegetables and they cooked me peas, even though they weren't on the menu, which was very generous of them. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals without any complaints. The white chocolate and mango cheesecake was one of the most delicious desserts I've ever tasted. The espresso martini was perfect!

Not eaten yet, only ever had a quick drink in the garden. But everything seems lovely. Always a smile from the staff etc. Would.lovento try the place out to eat as I've heard great things and the food I've seen looks great.
We stayed here for one night in our motorhome. Found it quite by chance, but 5 stars is not enough. The staff are very friendly and have a sense of humour. The food was amazing. I can recommend the chicken, the duck and the hay infused custard. Stayed until closing time talking to the staff and some residents of the village. Will definitely be going back.
Fantastic gastropub. Good selection for lunch, very accomodating for special considerations, excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Cosy settings, decent covid rules. Not expensive. Not crowded. Very scenic rear courtyard and pond. Large, good quality gravel carpark, suitable for all cars. Recommend going.
