Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice work arranging the sunshine but seriously fantastic fish and chips today. Both were perfectly cooked. Excellent ales too. Another gem in the extended neighbourhood!
Stopped for post hospital pub lunch as my daughter was hungry. We loved the food and the service, I had a roast beef sandwich with side salad - it was perfect. I am very fussy about salad and generally don't like ice-berg lettuce but this was chilled to the perfect temperature which elevated it to a
Amazing food at reasonable prices with very friendly service. No complaints! We went for Sunday lunch and there was loads of choice. I liked that children could have a smaller portion of the adult menu options rather than a separate children's menu which in most restaurants is usually unhealthy.
A very warm welcome, one of our party is in a wheelchair and that was no issue at all. Gorgeous food, delightful service, we will definitely be back.
Lovely location with shady beer garden for the hot summer days. Good range of fresh sandwiches although lunch finishes at 2 pm so be quick if your looking for a later snack around the middle of the day
They have their very own beer brewed especially for them and it is excellent just like the decore and service
Absolutely fantastic! I had been looking forward to visiting since my canceled trip in 2020. Atmosphere and food was excellent and enjoyed the stroll down to the churchyard and Broughton Castle in time for sunset. Already looking forward returning next spring. Thanks Paul
Nice food and lovely friendly owners. We just happened to pick a very busy day this time
Great welcome, great service and good Sunday lunch. An excellent find. Small pub with limited tables so be sure to book in advance. I'm sure we'll be back.
Its a lovely welcoming pub. Food is tasty, plentiful and is value for money. The service was excellent and didn't have to wait long, once ordered and we were a part of 26. There is a lovely private beer garden at the rear. Definitely a place to go if your in the area
House beer was excellent Food was presented very well and looked good , but could have been hotter. A friendly place, well worth a visit.
Fantastic little village pub. Stopped by for a meal, traditional pub fayre. But very tasty beautifully presented and staff and locals extremely helpful and friendly, we arrived fairly early and the whole place smelt extremely clean, definitely observing covid rules and felt very safe. We have recent
A warm and friendly welcome. Good service and several vegan options including a delicious chocolate and cherry cheesecake 😋
Amazing experience from start to end. Excellent menu, including great children’s options and mouthwatering list of deserts. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Exceptional service: friendly, generous, and very professional. Thank you so much!

We had afternoon drinks and cakes. Friendly staff, clean seating area and toilets. Garden was lovely with established shrubs, trees, flowers and tables to sit at.
We were at a private party. They are currently closed on Mondays. They produced a delicious meal for us with three choices of main course - steak and kidney poe, salmon or veggie lasagne. (Lovely). Nothing was too much trouble. Very enjoyable evening following a book launch at Broughton Castle. Eng
A great pub/resturant serving good beer and excellent food. We really enjoyed ourselves. Staff are efficient and good fun. A very friendly place. Beware of landlord, Paul's corny jokes though; they're worse than Tony Blackburn's!! Seriously, pay the place a visit. A great setting and atmosphere to e
