So we arrived a little earlier this evening, unfortunately all tables was booked from the girl inside which slightly put us off after being told it was a 30 min wait however after sitting for 15 mins we decided to call and got told we could come instantly, so myself & my colleague decided to pop in and order ( tikka masala & he ordered a curry from mains menu) I ordered paswari nan, a beet & a strawberry Daiquiri, the curry was outstanding, as for my chicken tikka probably in the top 3 best I've ever tasted, outstanding food, got the spicy chips aswell also outstanding compliments to the chef, also Sam our waiter done a cracking job making sure we had everything required and asked for and showed us all the different things with the tablet, meal cost £63 worth every penny. I'll most definitely be back again! Compliments to the chef!!!
Visited this restaurant while on holiday just wanted to say what a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The booking on line was very easy to use great location free parking outside. You order your drinks on a table app very easy to use and was very useful when paying for the bill. The food was absolutely gorgeous best lamb rojan josh I've ever tasted my partner had the pannier sagg which was outstanding aswell very good portions. The staff were all very nice and helpful which is a credit to the restaurant. I will definitely be visiting again when I return back to the area
Went on a very hot sunny Thursday lunchtime as a birthday treat. Delicious twist on a traditional Asian meal. Compact attractive menu so you know the food is cooked to order. The staff were excellent and the use of tablets to order drinks and the bill easy to use.
The loaded nan was fab and very filling.
Discount available on lunchtime so the final bill was very reasonable.
Will definitely go again
If you want the best Curry and service this is the place to be.
We have never been disappointed- visited many times with family, friends and large group of folks, the service and food have always been are outstanding. The added extra of a great cocktail menu is an added bonus.
Possibly the BEST Indian food I’ve ever had. Great staff, friendly and helpful. All the dishes we tried were fresh tasting and beautifully fragrant. The only negative is that ALL the menu looks amazing and you can only eat so much!
Cosy, stylish, great service, excellent food and an outstanding array of drink options. I enjoyed a cocktail with my meal and hubby had a beer. I thought the price for the whole meal was very reasonable considering how much we had!
Babul's is a local gem! Such a great menu with lots to choose from and amazing / friendly service and trendy decor. And the cocktails....wow... they went down very well! I can't recommend this place enough. Sorry I didn't get curry pictures, just the cocktails! We'll definitely be back!

Wow!! What an amazing find. Extensive menu, and works with a local taxi firm to deliver. Food was very tasty and piping hot. My husband had Lamb Korahi with garlic rice, and I had chicken tikka rogan josh. Simply delicious. I paired mine with coconut rice which was beautiful. Spicy chips were extra and I pleased we ordered them. Will definitely order again.
still here now juat after finishing meal. absolutely amazing. Best I've had in years. we just caught the end of the lunchtime menu and they were very accomodating fitting us in and setting us up a table outside on the sun. family of 4 we got keema loaded chips, jalfrezi, korma and tikka naanwich. shame they don't deliver to my home town. do not pass this one by 🥰🥰🥰
edit: just got the bill and I thought they'd undercharged us. £34 for family of 4 with drinks for some of the nicest Indian food I've ever had. and I love Indian food

Having a couple of days camping nearby, I decided to cheat with a takeaway. Wasn't expecting to find so much vegan food to be available so totally surprised and impressed with the options. If you could open in Newcastle I'd appreciate it. ♥️

Decided last minute to book a meal here and we was so pleased with the service. Welcomed with smiling faces, easy to order drinks as can do so from the table. For our first time the staff was happy to sit and explain how everything worked, including the menus etc. Real little gem in Barnard Castle, wanted to tip but did not have cash to hand so remember to take cash as the service really did deserve a tip!
Well, what can I say. Ordered our food and when I brought it home, one of the main dishes was missing. Well should I say my partner thought it was missing. Anyway I called them and they said they were sure they had put the meal in with the rest of our order. They said to come and pick a replacement up. It was only when I arrived back outside the restaurant that my partner called me up to say it was there and there was a bit of a mistake. …Not on their part, but obviously next time we will look twice. 🫣…. Just want to say amazing food and sorry to the guys and girls at the restaurant for making a bit of a boo-boo !! Thankyou to all at babul’s 😵🫢😁😌
