What a beautiful place!!! The service and the interiors - both exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately the food wasn't as amazing and the menu only consists of small dishes (but in good price). Overall, I would pop in again for a tea and cake 😊

Firstly, the building itself is stunning. An old house/inn gives slightly spooky vibes. The items throughout the shop/restaurant are fantastic and really adds to the decor. We decided to eat here and had lovely service from everyone. I had the patatas bravas which had small chunks of fried chorizo in. It was topped with a perfectly fried egg with a runny yolk. It was definitely the best I've had in a while. My wife had the croque madam which had an absurd amount of bechemel on top (the perfect amount!) If we come back to Barney we'd really like to pop in for the evening.

Me and partner loved this place. Very old building full of antiques and unusual curios ( many are for sale). Good food with really friendly staff. We will definitely return. 10/10

Loved this cafe/bar/antique shop. Very quirky seating areas with lots of choice including an outside courtyard. Beautifully presented fresh and tasty food. We had a carafe of wine and made the most of our experience, dog friendly too, thanks

A wonderfully quirky and quite unique place to dine. You are warmly welcomed and the staff were lovely. Not your usual pub or chain menu it was a joy to choose from and all freshly made. I would highly recommend a visit wherever you are in Barnard Castle.

This place was the highlight of our holiday. We can’t recommend Belgraves enough! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The girl who served us was lovely and friendly. And the decor was absolutely on point. It takes a certain level of skill to create something so beautiful and sympathetic to the building. Loved this place and will definitely be back when down this way again!

We were advised that a visit here was still worth our time. Had a little browse around and stopped for coffee/tea and cake. Highly recommended

First time visiting here, and oh wow! I’m very enthusiastic about interiors and beautiful architecture as well as gorgeous food so this place hit every spot! An amazing selection of items in the shop, reasonably priced and really unique! The staff (especially Caroline) were all so lovely, attentive and welcoming. We ended up having food too, and it was 10/10! They were able to cater for my Mum too who is gluten free. The banquet hall out the back is beautiful too, can I just move in already??!! Thanks again for a wonderful couple of hours on a rainy Tuesday afternoon!

Wow. This is a Barnard Castle treasure and is a must. Having recently being brought back to life by the new owners, a complete redecoration and new vision (ignore all the old beige photos you see on Google, it's completely different now). It's full of history, new beautiful decor, relaxed cocktails by fires and delicious food along with some of the best cake I've ever had, all while doing a little shopping - win! You have to visit Blagraves. The team are so friendly and you'll be blown away by what they've created.
