We have been coming to the Barnet Green Dragon for many years and we never had any disappointment. We usually go for its special 2 courses lunch menu on Saturday.
What we love the most about The Green Dragon is its food quality & its food presentation as it always make us feel like eating in a posh restaurant, but with a pub's price tag. The food is always delicious and we don't think we can find anywhere that can serve more value for money food than here, in Barnet, or maybe across the whole London.
Service is always great too. All staffs are friendly and service is always attentive.

Saturday afternoon and 30 people for a 3 course lunch for my mother in law’s 90th birthday. Mat and the team couldn’t have done more. The food was delicious and our guests were so complementary. It’s been a while since we last came to the Green Dragon for a Sunday lunch. My partner and I have always thought this is easily the best Sunday pub lunch anywhere around here. It’s been recently redecorated and to be fair it was looking a little tired last time we came. Prices are towards the top end of the range for Sunday lunch but the quality of the ingredients and the food on your plate cannot be criticised at all. We had the beef sirloin and it was incredibly juicy and tender. Overall an excellent meal although sadly we missed out on the cauliflower cheese because it was sold out. We were booked very late in the day. Remember to book your table as it’s always busy!!

Incredible place for a Sunday roast!! I’ve been doing driving lessons around Barnet and we have gone past several times so we booked a table.
The staff were really lovely and attentive without being overbearing. We all had the roast beef which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I love when it’s a single thick and juicy slice.
We ended with sticky toffee pudding and a hot drink.
Think this will be our frequent haunt for Sunday roasts now!

It's bad. It's very bad. I can't get the sticky toffee pudding out of my head.
The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. As soon as I got home I fell in a food coma and woke up wanting more.
I will be trying to convince my friends to make the long trek to TGD cause the food and service is worth it.

I was looking for a venue to host a Celebration of Life and came across The Green Dragon. It’s a superb country pub just outside of High Barnet. My request was a little unusual as we were ‘live streaming’ the event from Jamaica and Michael, Matt and the team could not have been more helpful. They truly made us feel at home and catered for our every need. The Green Dragon will now be my ‘local’, as it has great food, a lovely atmosphere and has a wonderful team. Thanks Michael and Matt for creating a truly memorable and special evening for my family.

We had lunch here today. Very good value. I thoroughly enjoyed my fillet of pork on a skewer, very tasty. The rest of the party had fish and chips and said it was very good.
The service was good and attentive. Unfortunately we sat next to a very noisy table, but they did leave before we had our mains. The decor was a bit dull and maybe just a few attractive and brighter pictures on the wall might help.
However, that's just a small criticism and on the whole we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
