Absolutely incredible! The Chicken Soprano Ciabatta is spectacular without a doubt! And I always buy it with the Chinese Salt and Pepper Chips, which are the best I've ever tried, even better than the local Chinese takeaways!
A delightful find on a flying work visit in this little market town. Although it advertises itself as an ice-cream shop, it is much more than that, selling a very acceptable range of snacks and cakes.
The welcome was warm and jolly, and the service quick and efficient. The atmosphere is basic but quaint. The set-up is entirely Covid secure with track and trace being implemented, ample supplies of sanitiser, a good distance between the tables, and cleaning of table and chairs between customers.
There are no toilet or washroom facilities (due to Covid risk assessment, and too many touch points, the man behind the counter told me apologetically). However it did sound as though they weren't accessible to people with limited movement, as they sounded as though they were downstairs and round a corner.
However despite this inconvenience, I would recommend a visit should you ever find yourself in Barnoldswick town centre.
Always good food at simply wicked & the prices are not bad either. Shame about the decor though, Andy just replaced the carpet & nothing else,would have liked a bit of decorating & a spruce up.
I can't understand today's complaint about simply wicked. We have always found that their food is prepared fresh and good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Granted the cafe is small and busy but regular customers would prefer to say it has a cosy and vibrant atmosphere. Keep up the good work Andy and crew. ☺️

Our day wouldn't be complete without a coffee at Simply Wicked. Sometimes with a large slice of cake or the scrumptious maple flapjack. The flatbreads are delicious and I have to give a mention to the handmade coleslaw, it's gorgeous. The staff are all great and create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Unsurprisingly it can get busy, but it's worth the wait. This is our go to place when meeting friends and family for lunch too. Thanks Andy and the team.
Been coming here since it opened, buying chocolates originally, then take away sandwiches, now i bring my family in for meals, its not just simply wicked its simply fabulous, small but big enough to receive excellent food and service, salt and pepper chicken fries are amazing and the homemade coleslaw is lush. Definitely our number 1 go to in barnoldswick and surrounding areas.
just a cracking place to eat some good food, not fancy not posh but beats a lot that pretend to be!! the Chinese starter, superb! Think Emily just brilliant, apart from making me jump everytime to ask if all OK!!! but call you will not be disappointed.. oh Emily it was not Free! we paid and enjoyed it all... beats the Grill by miles...
I came in for lunch with my 3 year old today and was not disappointed! The food was amazing and Vicky is the loveliest waitress I've ever met! She was so good with my little boy and even topped his milkshake up for him! It was just the nicest experience and you have an absolute gem on your team there. The other waitress working was just as lovely! Thank you! We will definitely return! :)
A family group of us had coffee and a lovely lunch here today. The food was a bit different and very tasty. The staff were so kind, and couldn't do enough for us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cafe.
