Had a delicious meal here with my daughter and so good to find a menu with a variety of vegan options.
My meal was delicious and the service was good too so I will definately be returning .
Maybe more choice for a vegan dessert would be good but I can't fault the choice for vegan main meals
I would highly recommend this pub. We attended today for Sunday dinner. We had the steak and ale pie. Fantastic.
It was packed, but the staff managed really well. 10/10.
We had a great meal, made even better by a 2 for 1 voucher. The quality and quantity of food was great. One slight disappointment was the service. It started well, but they forgot about us later on 🙁
Absolutely super pub with really good traditional roast and pies. Food was well seasoned and very tasty. Service pretty good, although could have come past to offer more drinks. Overall, really pleased to have found it and would definitely recommend.
The food was lovely. We all had Sunday roast, and it was really good. A few of us had pudding as well, and that was just as good.
There was quite a wait for food which we weren't told about. It was clear it was busy, but it would have been good to know how long the wait would be, as it ended up being an hour before we got our food. And with a 17 month old, it took a lot of entertaining to keep them happy.
The atmosphere is really nice and they have a lovely outdoor area too with lots of benches. It would have been even better if they had a play area, with it being a family pub.
The pricing was okay. It averaged around £30ish each, for a main, pudding, and drink. Which isn't too bad as the food was lovely. It did feel a tad expensive looking at everything individually, but prices have gone up in general, and that will affect the price of going out for food. Regardless of this, we would all definitely go again.
Moderate priced meals, great tasting food, brill atmosphere. Dog friendly in the bar area where you can also have your meal.
I've been to the Crown & Anchor a number of times now and had a good meal here every time.
I would highly recommend the fish pie as this has easily been the best meal I have had here.
Staff are pleasant and provide good customer service.

Went in the evening for a family meal and the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely - especially with all the fairy lights, and the service was top tier. It’s a little pricey but worth it. Will definitely be coming back!
Well worth visiting for the date and mates offer. Two course meal for 2 and a bottle of wine for £40. The food was excellent and extremely good value. I would definitely recommend a visit on Tuesday evenings for this offer.

Stopped for Sunday lunch. Good free car park. Premises generally clean but toilets need attention. Meals took an hour to be delivered but were good when they arrived. Staff were pleasant and friendly.
Great meal. The pies are out of this world... Well worth a visit
