Good food but shameful acts by the staff and owner I was standing in the shop in the warm and two delivery drivers standing outside the shop with there bags for at least half an hour in the rain and cold both soaked to the bones there bags must have also be water logged. Lady took there time to get there orders ready. This shouldn't be happening in 2023 get these people some shelter if they are taking the time to deliver your orders !!!!!!

The best fish and chips ever! No wonder they have won awards. Service was good. Shop itself is clean. Plenty on the menu. Highly recommend 👌

I don't like fish in Barnsley, as I'm from Leeds and we have the batter different. So I get a kebab, nice enough and if there is no queue I don't mind calling, it does get busy and it's small. Above 6 people without social distances and you have to stand outside.

Great service, we arrived 20 minutes before closing time and they still made us fresh fish. Great food and quality

All day special at £5 3 pieces of cod the size of your plan chips and a choice of mushy peas or curry sauce. Lovely chatty lady serving.

Always a good meal from the Codfather, whether you go for a full chippy tea or for the fish bites special (fish bites are the way forward!) you can’t go wrong. The prices are good, service is quick and the food is almost always fresh out the fryers thanks to the number of people that also appreciate the quality of food from here!

Best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Potatoes are handmade and cod’s are fresh, there is always queue in front of the shop.

I went here years ago and loved it only stopped going because I moved, after driving past we decided to call we got 2 mixed kebabs and they didn't disappoint its the best kebab I've ever tasted the staff were amazing it was very busy and the staff were amazing

The quality and crispness of the batter is awesome. The chips are cooked in a tasty batter that makes them so difficult not to finish!

Lovely staff, always go above and beyond for service. Never had any problems. Would definitely recommend!

Best fish and chip shop for miles by Yorkshire standard. As a native of Liverpool I do find the menu very small as we don't have chines takeaway and fish and chips it's all the same even if run by English and or Greeks :) but to get back to codfather quantity is good staff are friendly and and value is good. Again to be clear they have a large menu ( by Yorkshire standard )
