Can't fault this place at all, we had a small party of 20 ppl here today for my step sons 18th birthday and the food was absolutely divine, we will deffo be back for more. They catered for us all in their outside heated room which was made private for us, staff were really friendly and the manager came to introduce himself aswell which was nice, 5 stars all round, we really enjoyed our night, thank you for having us xx

On the photos are the Duck Gyoza and Bulgogi beef bao buns to start, and then BBQ Fajitas and the Katsu chicken curry for main. The food was delicious, well presented and hot off the stove. The staff were attentive and friendly and made it a really enjoyable lunch! Fantastic little restaurant tucked away in the outskirts of Barnsley town center, would highly recommend for folks wanting something different from the usual pub-grub!
Very clean throughout, facilities well maintained.

Had afternoon tea for a baby shower the cakes and sandwiches were amazing. A proper size sandwich on a roll rather than a slice of bread. Scones cakes tea coffee. Clean toilets pleasant staff and very comfortable clean surroundings xXx

Staying in the Premier in a few yards away so popped in on my way back from the gym on the off chance to see if they did takeaways. Staff were really helpful and I went for the katsu chicken. Picked it up 15 mins later and it was delicious! Generous portion with LOTS of chicken whereas most places just give 3 little pieces. Will deffo be there again before I leave at the end of the week. Rated the atmosphere a 5 even though I didn't stay as its the kinda place I like to eat.

Palatable & Pleasant - Highly recommended!
I visited the Pavilion on Wednesday (07/11/18) and loved it. Within a second two staff greeted me with smiles and the manager cleaned the table and had me seated within 10 seconds of walking in. The vibe is fantastic with wooden floors, industrial metal roof and the casual dining atmosphere added character to this new café, bar and kitchen restaurant.
The manager, Kay, took my order and I had to get the Bailey’s Coffee which after two sips had the kick I needed on the rainy afternoon. Over 15 customers seated and each one had a smile and the staff really cared about the service with frequent kitchen visits to keep the operation running smooth. Seeing the food coming out the kitchen, I had to order the Pulled Pork Burger and it was mouth-watering. Crispy fries, crunchy lettuce and coleslaw that made me wish for a Pavilion barbecue event as the burger and pork were cooked to perfection.
With an introductory discount of 20%, I paid £9.16 for a tasty burger and strong coffee which filled me up till this morning though is worth the full price. An added bonus is a discount of 10% to Council employees and being less than 1 minute from the Council could make it the next hotspot. High customer service, fantastic food and pleasant vibes.
Extra knowledge I found was that the Pavilion is owned by a Father and Son from Barnsley and the manager has 15 years’ experience in Bar Management in Barnsley. Pavilion is a clear example of local businesses that make Barnsley a great place to live, work and explore.

The pavilion was a nice place to have a drink and a bite to eat however as it is mainly a bar it was pretty loud and so at times you could not hear each other talk. The food came fast and although not an authentic pizza it was still nice food and the ingredients were fresh. I would only recommend eating here if you don’t mind the bar vibe rather than a sit down meal/restaurant as we were also sat on bar stools so felt quite informal.

My wife and I went for an afternoon tea for 2, but also took our 2 year old daughter. The staff were brilliant and gave her a few strawberries, a small bowl of ice cream and a baby cappuccino. She was going to share our meal, but after this there was no need, she didn't want anything else. The food was beautiful, staff fantastic and the place itself was great. Can't wait to go back. Would have the afternoon tea again, but we've been convinced enough to eat from the main menu now too.

3 of us have been for fathers day and really enjoyed the food, we had some small plates to share to start with and then 3 roasts, not one complaint from anyone.

Really lovely and accommodating and the food and drinks were great! 😊

The Pavilion has plenty of outdoor seating, with booked dining having overhead heaters and fully covered, which makes the world of difference regardless of weather.
The service was fantastic, with friendly and attentive staff. They also continue to kindly provide emergency services discounts which is very kind.
The food and drink selection was reasonable, with a little bit for everyone, although vegetarian options were limited to 3 main meals from my recollection: pizza, halloumi burger or halloumi curry. They’ve also stopped their lovely chorizo starters which would fit the patatas bravas dish well (we had a tapas style starter between the group).
Overall it’s recommendable and a lovely place to eat and drink with friends. Thanks for a nice experience.

Food was good but could have been warmer we had to ask for our food after 40 mins wait , it was busy with drinkers but not so much food , the waitresses were rushed off their feet

Divorce party of 14. We did the afternoon tea with cocktail offer. Lovely plate full of sandwiches and sweet treats. Unlimited 90 minutes of cocktails and prosecco. Was not the easiest group to run around after, due to how many there was. We all had a fabulous time! We did notice one particular lady running rounda serving us. At one time she looked hot and work loaded heavy (it was that very hot sweaty heatwave September Saturday). She definitely put our group enjoyment first. Got a breef moment to thank her . Lovely lady who told us she had just taken over the running of the pavilion, we wish her all the well-deserved luck and success. And would 1000% recommended
