I actually have no words to describe how good the food is here!! The staff are so welcoming , so friendly and so helpful, very attentive can't thank them enough for a lovely experience, if your visiting devon this place is a MUST!!

Literally reviewing from the table it was that good.
The reception was fantastic and shown to a table, server came back and took my drink order quickly then I ordered the roasted lamb which I can only say was sublime.Will most definitely be back next time I visit Barnstaple
Nice and clean establishment, everything looks new. The staff are very friendly and efficient, table service only which I like as is the same in France. The food was nice, one criticism as my fish pie was a bit on the wattery side. Had a really nice afternoon and evening. A good place to go to for a drink by the fire or something to eat. A good menu with a nice choices.

Booked a table for 5.30, but arrived early. The staff happily accommodated us on a table well away from others as we had our husky with us. Very friendly & attentive staff who tended to our every need & ensured our dog had a bowl of water at the table.
The combo platter starter we shared between us was delicious & came to the table well presented & hot.
We had 4 separate dishes for mains. The chicken & bacon Caesar salad & sticky chilli chicken & halloumi salad were huge & very tasty. My son had the fiery Korean noodles which lived up to their name & were very flavourful & my husband had the katsu curry which he thoroughly enjoyed. 3 of us were too full for dessert but my son had the honeycomb cheesecake which was presented beautifully & was rich & creamy. Together with the real ales & the delicious mocktails, especially chillin' on the beach, this was one of the best meals we've had out in ages.
So much so we've booked to go back again next week! Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful rustic atmosphere. Welcoming and kind staff, dog friendly restaurant. A must visit if you’re in the area!
Food was really nice and not too expensive. Staff were really welcoming and helpful the entire night. Food was lovely and piping hot even though we had a table of 15!

Served mostly by Pete, manager, who was lovely... Great personality and very professional. He advised us that some of the tapas dishes were big portions so not to order too many if having main course too!
He provided colouring for our 3 Yr old grandson!

We visited yesterday for a lunch with my partner and our dog. Absolutely beautiful place with the most friendly staff. I was a real nuisance after getting my burger with a bit of pink in the middle. It looked beautiful, but being pregnant I needed it to be well done (I shouldn't have assumed it would have been). Feeling awful I asked if it could be cooked slightly longer and they were so kind even though I was awful for not stating when ordering.
The food was lovely!!!! Special mention to the toilets as they had dry shampoo, deodorants, wipes, hairspray and other things to keep you feeling fresh whilst visiting. These little things make such a difference. I would definitely recommend.
A really fairly priced restaurant with highly attentive staff. Clean and tidy, beautiful moody atmosphere and well balanced cocktails. Roast dinner on a Sunday is always a 10 😍 really good for families as they have a separated area from the restaurant area, which means you don't feel like you're disturbing anyone with little one. They also have a children's menu. Staff are so friendly every time we visit and always smiling, so helpful. Bathroom is clean with lots of little perfumes and bits for just in case moments...
All I can say is I was blown away!! I had the Sunday nut roast and it was superb served with a great selection of vegetables including proper cauliflower cheese served piping hot in it's own dish!! I decided to try the créme brulee with raspberry sorbet & shortbread for dessert and was not disappointed!! I would definitely recommend Lush Bar & Restaurant to anyone visiting Barnstaple!
