Lots to see and do, great restaurant, lovely plants, grandchildren love the jungleland always try and see the terrapins but they only rarely come to the surface, great for garden accessories too.

Called in for a breakfast roll and coffee which was very tasty. Had a look around the plants and bought a gorgeous grey grass. We asked for some advice about another plant and the chap was very knowledgable. They have a good selection of grasses in at the moment so I shall be back.

A lovely garden centre. We needed advice in the Aquatic shop and spoke to a very helpful member of staff. We decided to have a coffee and cheese scone, both were delicious. Definitely be back.

Very good garden centre catering for both gardeners and people looking for other products including clothes and a variety of gifts. It also has a roomy restaurant serving up a good variety of meals and snacks. Plenty of parking including disabled spaces.

Lovely lunch yesterday. My son accidently dropped his iced coffee and the young lady who was serving at the cafe counter called Maddie, was so nice about it. She even replaced the coffee free of charge. Very nice helpful, polite young lady!

Excellent assortment of plants. Finally found an Olive tree for my garden that I liked, clearly well maintained and cared for. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Particularly the lovely lady who reserved my treee for delivery even though she should have been going for lunch. Due to size had my tree delivered, the chap was cheerful and brilliant, and brought it round to the back garden in the rain for me! You can spend a lot of time wondering around just looking, next time We'll do lunch.

St. John’s Garden Centre is full of surprises. You can buy presents for all ages and don’t forget to buy something for yourself. The is a restaurant with lots of treats. Our coffee was just great. One of the major surprise was the jungle, with pre-historic animals, and a large chair, so you feel like you were young again.

Love the St John's in Barnstaple, yes the building is a little dated, but the range of products on offer is fantastic, has a jungle section for the kids and a fantastic cafe! All the staff are really helpful and chatty when it's quiet. Christmas is always a nice time to visit, they always have great displays on. Unfortunately Santa may not be there this year due to the pandemic but it's still very much a local store worth supporting!!!
