We live in Braunton and both of our Chinese takeaways are closed, 2 weeks ago we ordered from another Chinese in Barnstaple and it was vile! 28 Chinese is the only other place that will deliver to us and I couldn't be more impressed! The girl on the phone was honest about the wait time before we ordered but the food arrived half an hour earlier which was a bonus. Its the best Chinese I've had in a long time!!! Highly rate it and my new favourite š
I found this the best Chinese takeaway out of all I've tried. I've ignored it for 5 years and tried it first, a couple of months ago and it's my favourite one.
Holiday takeaway, fab food, good portions very very enjoyable. Totally recommend. Still the only Chinese takeaway worth visiting. Every year great food, lovely people run it. Try it, you will be back. Oh yes, not cash only. They take cards if spending over Ā£15.
Delivered exactly when I asked. Tasted fantastic and they kindly left off the batter on the s&s. Can't fault them. Would happily order again but we are down on holiday so not enough time!
Passed by this little takeaway on my way to Exmoor on a Sunday evening when KFC 24/7 was shut and I was absolutely starving ! Had lovely authentic dumplings and the beef dish was delicious ! Had a little chat with the owner and found out the chef used to work in a really posh restaurant in London !
New to this Chinese takeaway, but I liked it. The food was very good, cooked quickly. Counter staff were all young and could do with a bit of service training....but a solid 8/10 overall.
Saw the great reviews and had to try it out! Read the menu and couldn't believe the variety they offered and it all sounded delicious so I ordered a bit of everything and the reviews were totally deserved! Best Chinese restaurant ever! Everything was so tasty and we would definitely recommend this place to whomever is looking for an authentic absolutely fabulous Chinese experience!
Didnāt actually eat here but parked outside while in the pubā¦. Judging by their empties they supply good alcohol and looking through their open window they have a great selection of spices. It smells good so try it and let me know for next time!!
Thought we would try 28 tonight, all I can say is wow, every dish we had was absolutely delicious! Best salt and pepper squid I have had in a long time, and the steamed pork dumplings were really tasty.
Empty plates all round, 28 will definitely be our goto Chinese takeaway from now on.
Food was amazing... ordered chicken chow mein, salt & pepper chips, spring rolls & curry sauce...plenty of it & all really tasty. Staff pleasant & very helpful.

Staying near Barnstaple on holiday and fancied something different to eat tonight. Ordered a takeaway which was delivered in less than 30 minutes. The food was really tasty and hot and good value for money. Really good quality and very enjoyable.
Iāve had a couple of meals from here and their absolutely delicious! I live in Bideford and I do a collection and when I get home itās still pipping hot!
I would defo recommend the chicken balls and pancake rolls,
The main dishes are also beautiful! Especially king prawn chow mein!!
Very nice freshly cooked hot food, we have ordered here a few times now and it very satisfactory, not oily, beautiful flavours and delivery is also very fast. I would highly recommend.
