Fresh-A-Fare is one of my favourite places to go for a wholesome healthy lunch. Their soups and sandwiches always taste fresh, and are made with care! Their service is also very quick and friendly. One menu item that you must absolutely try is their carrot cake which is definitely the best in the area. Have also had their food catered to work meetings and it arrives full of flavour and in large portions! Definitely a hidden gem in the City of Barrie that is worth checking out.

First off they have the old bank hours from the ’70s, M-F 10:30 am to 4 pm. Unless I am holiday not going to make the place. Anyhow got off work early and decided to give them a try and decide to grab a take out order. The menu board is very confusing. Even with excellent help from the girl at the counter couldn't figure out how much everything cost or what they had. Wind up with a Rueben sandwich and Cheeseburger soup for $20 for lunch. The Rueben had Swiss cheese, corn beef, Sauerkraut and mustard on rye. They forgot the pickle and very thin on the corned beef, otherwise a very tasty sandwich but not worth $11. As for the Cheeseburger soup, it comes with dice lettuce and tomato on the side and two mini buns. It’s extremely thick with only ground beef in it. The soup basically tastes like Hamburger Helper in a soup format for $7.

Just about the best salad I've ever had, this rivals 30$ salads at fine dining restaurants. Everything is so fresh and tasty, it's perfect. I wish there was one in Toronto where I live.

Absolutely stunning food and service. Top quality, fresh, delicious food plated with the utmost care. The staff truly enjoy their jobs, and it shows. Real smiles and real food. When I have time for lunch, I only go to Fresh-A-Fare now.

The smoked salmon and egg sandwich was alright, it would've been much better if the bread was toasted. I also had the cheeseburger soup and it wasn't that special, kind of under seasoned.

Great salad place. Big Hearty salads and fresh interesting sandwiches. I recommend the roasted veggie.Good soups made from scratch. If you like dill try their dill salad dressing. Don't forget to ask for a side of pickles. Staff will split salad into 2 portions

I love both locations. The service is always friendly and the food is delicious. I took away one star because there are no gluten free sandwich options unless you have the collard greens wrap and I hate collards:( I know it’s about cross contamination, but one knife and one cutting board is all it would take. Just post a sign that says you are gf friendly, but that gluten is obviously used on site. I would definitley recommend lunch here. The smoked salmon is THE BEST!
