First time in Barrow and on the lookout for good food and coffee. The Fig Tree did not disappoint on either count. Very friendly and efficient service. It has a lovely atmosphere, clearly the cafe is well regarded by the local community, always a great sign.....

I’m originally from Barrow and was up visiting my family. I haven’t been to the Fig Tree since I was a kid but much prefer going to local owned places. The Fig Tree didn’t let me down. Very smiley team, incredibly clean and very quick service. Eat local you won’t regret it!

Delicious homemade food. Great value for money and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I ordered a late and 1/2 sandwich (coronation chicken) and soup, which came with homemade coleslaw 2 slices of thick bread crisps and side salad.

Perfect lunch spot with plenty to choose from on the menu. I love their toasties 😋 usually gets busy from 11:30am onwards but they’re always accommodating and service is always great. Takeaway options are available also for those on the go just ring to pre-order.
