The Colcot Arms Hotel In Barry

Due to number of people visiting pub (because of the time of day/40% off mains offer and the reason we were there), I couldn't order at the bar because of the wait/queue (due to lack of bar staff) I had to place order online using Sizzler app. Easily done but no facility to use 40% off voucher code on the website so had to pay full price for our meal which arrived an hour after we did! Visit also marred by number of children running around and noise levels due to lack of parental control - it's putting a number of older patrons off. Whinge over, food OK when it arrived and meal itself enjoyable.

Not many sizzling pubs left so gave the colcot arms a try , was decent food and very cheap on the wallet given today's rising prices. Young lively pub with a big food menu , went for the hot dog choice list and the " dirty dawg " hot dog caught my eye , a bratwurst sausage in a don't long roll covered in fried onions , mini hash browns , jalapeños, nacho sauce and dorito crumbs . The taste was fantastic. Nice hot kick from the jalapeños followed by the crunch of hash browns and onions . Delicious 😋

Had a catch up with a few friends and felt very welcome here. The service was very good and food was stunning. I would highly recommend the hunters chicken. Bar staff were brilliant and friendly, Rhys was working when we were there and he was brilliant, nothing was too much for him and did all he could to make sure we had the best experience. Also the place was spotless. Will definitely be back.
