Fantastic time at this great place. The location on the top of the cliff is wonderful, enjoyed basking on the sofa,s outside with a beer! We are in the restaurant each evening, meaning to go out, but the food was so delicious we couldn't resist. We took our 20 week puppy Ned with us. It was his first time in a hotel, it was perfect for him, he loved talking to the staff who were so great with him. We also really appreciated and enjoyed the staff team who were so helpful, friendly, and did so much to make this place what it is. Thoroughly recommend this hotel, a rare find! We booked The Cliff House for my mother-in-laws birthday. From the moment we arrived the owner and staff were all wonderful, accommodating and attentive. We were given a lovely table with views out to sea. Food was delicious and well presented and the birthday cake we brought was served with aplomb! ...(and there was no charge for bringing this as we have known in other establishments, in fact pastry forks and plates were laid for it ) All in all a fabulous place. Try it. You won’t be disappointed. We will be back. How could i resist a Gin menu of such quality �
Wow, after an awful pub lunch the day before we had lunch yesterday at the cliff House and from the moment we came through the doors we had a lovely experience. The staff are phenomenal, really friendly, knowledgeable and chatty (they were also really sweet with our daughter). The beers on tap were super clean and fresh and delicious. The food was incredibly fresh and well cooked. We had whole fresh fish of the day and the fish and chips which were both outstanding. Amongst some of the nicest fish and chips I've had. Very child friendly as well! High chairs and great kids menu. We were seated in the dog friendly section of the restaurant which was lovely to have indoor space to sit with a dog, overall just a brilliant experience! We will definitely be back!
I have visited the Cliff House on several occasions but not stayed overnight.
The meals here are superb. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is also a great place to come for a coffee and meet friends.
What could be better than an evening meal, with a sea view and a sunset.
I last visited with a group of friends for the annual gin festival. It was a superb event which was well managed. Even with a large crowd the owners were still friendly and took time to briefly chat. The staff were extremely busy but still cheerful.
The live music, large selection of gins and lovely weather made for a great day.

Loverly place for a treat. Welcome, service and team as great as the first time. Flavour and look of dishes where great. Felt apple tart tartan was slightly over done with its glaze. Coffee had a nice flavour.
Went here for Dinner whilst on Holiday and it was so good went back for a second time. Food is simply excellent. They do a set menu which is great value if your on a budget. Service is great and the place is spotlless with lovely views. Highly recommend
Came for Sunday lunch today and it was fantastic. Booked late following a call with Jordan who was very accommodating for our group of 6.
The best roast beef I've eaten out, it was so tasty and the prawn cocktail starter was top drawer.
Will definitely be returning.

Went here for a meal as a work event (team night out). The service was excellent; polite, attentive but not intrusive. Ordering was quick and easy and the menu had some lovely options - speed of service after ordering was good too. Everything was cooked fresh to oder and, whilst the restaurant wasn't completely full, it was near capacity and yet food was served quickly and hot. The prices aren't cheap (but where is it cheap to eat anywhere nowadays?!), but you definitely get what you pay for and none of us (4 in total) were disappointed with any part of our meals. Highly recommended. Great views too over the cliff top and there's outdoor seating too - if skies are clear then you get a great view of the Isle of Wight and the Needles.
As the name suggests The Cliff House is a lovely bar/restaurant set right on the cliff top with stunning views out across the sea.
Our meal was delicious (great calamari and fish ‘n chips) and the service was very good
Superb in a word. Stunning location, stunning service from all staff and stunning food. Can't wait to attend the gin & beer festival next year, sadly can't make this year's festival
5 of us visited for Sunday lunch yesterday. We had to book a week in advance to get a table inside!
The food was delicious with excellent service. The location with a view of the sea was magnificent.
