Lovely meal Roast dinner and pudding. Room compact but ideal for 2 night stay. Full English Breakfast more than enough to keep you full for most of the day. 2 things that I would suggest a chair in room to put your clothes on and possibly a small heater in bathroom just to take the chill of.

We had a party of 27 last night and the food was simply amazing. Everything came out on time, piping hot and OMG the steaks were to die for. I can not thank you enough.

Had a lovely Sunday meal today, the sharing roast dinner for two was a superb idea and delicious. The restaurant itself was clean, tidy and well lit....something which is lacking in other local restaurants! I like to see what I’m eating. The staff were all welcoming and friendly throughout, even helping my mum decide on which pudding to have (Taste of Snickers, this was awesome)....a big recognition to our waitress, Alice, who was great!

Absolutely superb food and service. Decided to call in on spur of moment and it was the best meal we have had in a long time. Well done.

The star ratings speak for themselves! This place punches way above its weight in terms of quality of food and service. An excellent restaurant in the relaxed atmosphere of a village pub. Would recommend to anybody!

Called in when in the area. Wanted a light lunch and a nice real ale and I wasn't disappointed! Had a lovely, well kept pint of Wainwright real ale and the bowl of chips I ordered turned out to be possibly the nicest chips I've ever had! Thick, chunky, obviously homemade and delicious. Add to that, excellent, friendly service and you have a winning combination! Recommend to anyone. 5*

My granddaughter recently moved to this village from London so we have started visiting the location. So pleased we found this place, lovely and friendly and food very good. My son in law stayed at their B&B with his son, (kevin the Irishman) and he had a great time staying there. We will be visiting on and off now and we will be back to enjoy the food and the friendliness. Iris brown

We booked all three rooms at the b&b for the weekend which were great value for money and comfortable. We had dinner on the Friday night, the fish and chips were some of the best I’ve had. Great wine selection too.

Popped into The Three Horseshoes on the way back home from Barton Marina (a mile away). It was a lovely roast dinner at a very good price. A shared roast for 2 people was £29.99 with beef, chicken, and pork with the trimmings. Staff very pleasant. As the weather was nice, we were able to eat in the courtyard at the back as we had our dog, too, and a bowl of water was provided.

This local pub was ran by a couple for years and always had great food, it was sold around 2020 and was never the same…. Until now, pleasant staff on arrival, it is a limited menu choice but what was on offer was of high quality and our party of 3 were extremely happy, the manager made sure we were happy on serving and again 10mins later, particularly good as this is usually forgotten these days. Cracking pint of Guinness served AT THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE, well worth a visit !

Absolutely bloody lovely pub. The Pedigree was very well kept, the locals were very friendly and Dave...much better looking than Peter O'Toole if I may say so..was very welcoming. We will be back, that's a promise...or is it a threat?...😆😊💕

Spent one of the best evenings ever at the Shoes last night. Everything was just perfect. We took advantage of the 2 Steaks and a bottle of wine for £30 and it proved to be an absolute bargain. The steak was simply amazing, cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was superb with Dave at his all time best. I don't think we have laughed so much for a long time. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

Stayed here recently while visiting friends. Lovely room clean and nice decorated. The pub itself had a lovely atmosphere and great location in centre of the village. Decided to eat in the pub itself - food was excellent recommend the steak and selection of ales and beers was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed and good value stay - couldn’t knock it and staff and landlord were very welcoming! Be back again

A pub that manages to superbly combine a traditional local pub with a space for amazing food and a great dining experience! Always found the food to be great and deals like Steak Night really appealing. The support the pub has provided in the community for residents needing meals or even local sports is really inspiring and makes me want to come back whenever I can! Congrats to all the staff involved...

Would highly recommend a visit! Absolutely brilliant service, wide range of amazing drinks and the food was delicious! We went with a group of friends and we all loved it! Would definitely recommend to everyone. If you want that lovely pub feel in the bar side (which is also dog friendly) or have some luxury on the louge/restaurant side, there's something for everyone.

Was visiting the National Memorial Arboretum and, from a Google search chose here to stay. What a find!!! Caught their steak night, two 8oz rump steaks, mushroom, tomato, onion rings and chunky chips plus bottle of wine, £30, excellent, steak was cooked to perfection. Stayed overnight, room lovely. Breakfast was worthwhile. Will definitely visit again.
