What an absolute gem! If you didn’t know better, you could easily walk past this place as it looks rather unassuming from the outside, but you’d be seriously missing out. This is hands down the most fantastic Indian food I’ve ever eaten, and I regularly take my clients to the likes of Gymkhana and Chutney Mary. The dishes are ridiculously good value for money when you consider the flavours and quality of ingredients , the portions are ample and the service is quick. If you haven’t tried this place yet then what on Earth are you waiting for?! We had the Dari Puri and the Tandoori Prawns to start, the Puri were excellent and like nothing I’ve ever tried before, the Prawns were perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned, with just enough spice to give them a kick. To follow I had a mixed grill which had three different types of meat, some truly exceptional Massala sauce with flavours so rich that I didn’t want to finish it, and a fresh, soft butter naan. Really can’t recommend this place highly enough.

My husband and I love visiting this restaurant. The food is amazing, we especially enjoy it's authenticity. Best place to eat in Basildon by far and am surprised by people's 4star rating when they've written such good reviews. The food here we believe is also incredibly priced and everytime we visit we think they should charge more. If you're looking for a place to eat, this is definitely worth the visit.. attached photos are of lunch thali and dinner items .. The Dahi Puri is delicious!!!

The Restaurant was a great find. Went there as a party of 3 for my birthday lunch treat today. The lunch menu has limited number of dishes compared to the evening one but are very well balanced. I have never seen kadhi chaval and channa jor garam on a uk restaurant menu, so well done for being so original. The restaurant is located nearest carpark 2, so best to park there. The restaurant decor has many traditional Rajisthani puppets hanging high above the restaurant entrance, nice touch. We ordered 3 starters (Street food) which we shared, they had the correct balance of sweet, hot and sour tastes, although I did compliment mine with additional tamrind, chilli and coriander sauces. We ordered different versions of the Thali. This was impressive indeed. The variety of items, presentation, flavour, temperature and amount of food served in the thali (the circular stinless steel plate) was perfection itself. Every dish had its own traditional Rajisthani unique flavour, could not fault it. Thank you Sohan for your personal courtesy you showed us, the table you had reserved for us, my birthday wishes and for having created a truely great, clean, restaurant with a memorable menu. This was amongst the very best food I have ever had, a great birthday feast. It was a true gastronomic delight for my tastebuds. The restaurant is now firmly on my agenda, a great find indeed. Authentic Indian street food with a good customer service. The channa massala was served well and was prepared authentically. The butter naans were amazing with a soft texture. The biryani however was lacking and could have been improved.

Returned for new lunch menu. BRILLL! Authentic. Genuine. Kind. Neat. Reasonable price. Go before the trendy find it. Craft work decor. Family welcome atmosphere. Explained all the Thali teeny side dishes and so enjoyed fully the experience. Made a grim day into a wonderful time out. Served sugared fennel seeds instead of mint with bill. All - round genuine wonderful. Just go there!

Great authentic indian.Wasn't too sure what to expect but given the good reviews decided to give it a try and wasn't disappointed. Food was fantastic and as previous reviews say don't expect it to be like the local takeaway, this is much better. Very relaxed atmosphere, service and staff excellent .Had a lovely meal and will def return .

You could be forgiven for thinking you are in Rajasthan and not Basildon town centre, such is the quality of the food and atmosphere here. Tried the butter chicken thali, beautiful and authentic thalis, very generous portions and at a very reasonable price. The carrot dessert on the thali was delicious too. I'm grateful that Basildon now has a high quality Indian restaurant. All waiters/waitresses were friendly too, I cannot wait to go back :)

As the name says Jodhpur, place in India famous for its hospitality and food is the reflection of same the same is Basildon. After a lovely day spend on the beach of Southend on sea I was starving for Indian food. I google and found this place which wasn’t far. On arrival we been welcomed with smile. We had ordered mixed platter and would recommend Chicken tikka which is nice crispy layer outside and juicy inside. Venison kebab is bit niche in Indian restaurant which is a bit dry but tastes yumm. We ordered chef recommended Lal Maas Thali. A good portion on bone and that to with a lamb chop mix too. I must say this was the best lamb curry I tried in UK. Overall an amazing experience of real Indian food.
