Eastgate cente has changed qlot over the years but one thing that hasn't changed is the iconic fountain on the second floor, for me there is qlot of nostalgia and fond memories from my childhood. There is always something for families every half term, usually activities and various performance artists each is all completely free of charge. The shops have stayed consistent and always clean and tidy throughout.

Eclectic mix of shops and places to eat in town centre. Shopping mall, theatre, bus station and railway station all nearby. German food and drink stalls there over Christmas period.
Extensive upgrading of area planned with cinema but problems in development are apparent.

Best shopping centre in Essex has alot of normal shops not all designer expensive shops like most towns definitely recommend to anyone 😁👍🏻

Eastgate shopping offers lots of parking at good rates. Don't drive into Westgate though. Westgate parking is known for scams. Lots of people get fined there due to lack of poor signage and 2 hour max stay. Eastgate parking is multi-story. Lots of shops and places to eat. You can get good noodles or taco's from taco bell. Good deals in stores too.

Bustling shopping centre in a busy town, much of the same as you would see in any other equivalent shopping centre of this size. Plenty of empty shops but again, that's not unusual either in 2023 Britain.

I absolutely love this shopping center! It has a great variety of stores to choose from, and the layout is well-designed. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant. I always find what I'm looking for here, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!"

Eastgate has always been one of my favourite places to shop. The parking is conveniently above the centre with ease of access via a flight of escalators or the lift.
Sadly, lots of the biggest high street retail brands have closed their stores within the Eastgate, and it’s filled with one-off (and broadly overpriced) boutiques and small businesses. As lovely as they are, we really need the more common stores like H&M and Next to come back and bring some life into the centre again.
