Very nice place you may visit specially for bigger portion sizes when you need them for big group. Taste was amazing and prices are, as usual, affordable. Toilet was clean and the place was tidy. Waiters and staff were welcoming. I’d say go to these places more often as they are affordable and you leave well fed and why won’t you. We had bottomless brunch and it was such great value for money. The cocktails were really well made and tasted great and the food was also delicious. Both menus had a wide range of choices. Our sever Amy was so attentive and we did not have to wait for a long time waiting to order. She was quick and friendly and made the experience enjoyable.

My friend and I visited today for our birthday. We enjoyed a few cocktails and delicious food. The manager that served us was very attentive & friendly he really made us feel welcome. It was a very lovely calm atmosphere with some nice authentic background music!

Needs a bit of an update and waited 45 mins for food .. HOWEVER the head chef came to our table to explain, and apologise, and our waitress was excellent dealing with this also.
Food was really great when it arrived, (all 6 meals) . They gave the kids free churros as an apology and also took 40% of the final bill which was unexpected but a great touch.
We will definitely return but will also definitely ask about service times before seating, just in case 😂
Definitely recommend a visit if at Festival Place, Basingstoke.

Great place for cocktails, food and service! Very good offers if you love Cocktails. Gets busy in the evenings as lots of people also going for drinks but dining in isn't a problem if you book in advance.
P.s. I can't believe this place has a recent 1 star review due to the management not accepting a photo of someone's ID on their phone. You wouldn't get in a club with it so what makes you think you can go out drinking with it. Nice to see a responsible and well managed food/drinking establishment in Basingstoke!

The tables need a very good wipe down, as they were sticky as we're the drinks menus. You really don't want to touch much in here.

Really nice restaurant and atmosphere. Food very tasty and friendly staff. If your not in a rush ideal place. Round of drinks took about 15 mins to arrive and dinner 45 minutes on a Thursday night. Every table was taken and busy which is always a good sign 👌

Went to this venue yesterday and was greeted by a lovely gentleman who got me and my mum a table, however the girl taking out order seemed to be in her own little land, our food arrived at the same time as our drinks which wasn't a problem and all was very quick. Once getting our mains though service turned pretty poor. We got asked if our food was okay with one bite left. And plates weren't cleared for 10 mins. I used to work in catering so stacked them up including our empty glasses. When she finally came over and cleared offered desserts menus which never appeared until 10mins again when I asked for them again. A good 20 mins later our dessert arrived (Churros) which were over cooked and just tasted of oil. When our bill finally arrived after asking 2 of the staff for it, our main waitress turned on the charm asking if everything was okay. To be honest by this time I just wanted to get out of there and carry on our day. I went to talk to gentleman who was working and greeted us but he was busy.
Overall the venue wasn't busy they only had 2/3 tickets on at a time (I was sitting facing kitchen) and one chef was on his phone a lot of it. Our waitress was in her own little world and kept disappearing.
Our mains were lovely, but dessert was a let down.
I would return for drinks and mains but defiantly wouldn't come here for a evening or full sit down meal with starter mains and desserts.

Booked for Last Saturday for my birthday, definitely have to book as they are very busy, The manager was a brilliant host, very helpful, and an all round great guy, who saw us to our table, introduced us to our waitress, who was also a really great girl, we asked questions relating to the food and what things were etc, she had all the answers, We had something that they call " Planks " as starters..... wow mini tortilla wraps !! they were amazing, delicious, main meal were seafood related , a selection of sea bass, prawns, mussels, cray fish in a very nice sauce with spring onion rice, great tasting meal, i finished the whole plate, very unusual for me, last course was Churro's, ( clearly not frozen ) with salted caramel ice cream just fantastic. Not only was the food amazing, the atmosphere was too, cocktail kept flowing, nothing was to much trouble for the staff, if your thinking about booking in for a table for 2 or a big party i thoroughly recommend Las Iguanas , they can provide a really good night out :-) Thanks for making my birthday really special.

Me n my daughter decided to eat here for the first time last night. The atmosphere was great n the staff were relaxed and friendly. Didn't take long for the food to arrive and it was totally fantastic. Presentation was good and the taste was even better. We even had a cheeky cocktail �. Early Father’s Day celebration at Las Iguanas tonight. Wonderful service from staff especially our waitress Sophie C who went over and above to make our meal memorable. Another lovely unexpected addition was Raz Chaudhry performing close up table magic for us. It was the highlight of my sons evening and now he wants a magic set too!!!

I've been to Las Iguanas in Bristol and also several times in London. Sorry, Basingstoke branch, something truly authentic is missing. Even the Xinxim tasted bland. And we never even got asked if our meal was ok. Cheesecake was warm, wine just not quite the best. Passable, but nowhere near your counterparts.

I have now been on a few occasions. They have a new DJ playing Latin music salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton and upto date Latin hits every Fri & Sat. I recommend this as a great party night out and of course the best cocktails in town.

Warm welcome on arrival but table was slightly late. As we were a big group this was fine as we were getting drinks so didn't really mind. Bar service very slow... only 2 people on to cover the entire restaurant?! Server was very friendly, food was good and cocktails - when we got them - were lovely. Would recommend just be warey some nights might be better than others

For the second time coming dreadful service. People who work here completely ignore you as they are getting a bite to eat in the corner ofvthe restaurant. Customer after customer coming in left waiting at the bar to get seated. Slow first drinks.

First night out in a while and picked Las Iguanas. Table was ready on arrival and we were treated warmly. Our waitress was friendly and took our order. When the starters arrived, the chilli in the nachos was cold and, in complete comparison, the cheese cubes were cremated. A quick word with the waitress soon got this sorted tho not sure the latter should have been served if noticeably over done. The replacement starters were much better. Main was good - hot and full of flavour and made the most of the cocktails. The finale for me should have been the cheesecake but this didn't live up to my memories of it so that was disappointing.

It's very good food. When u have paid the bill at the end of the night u cannot then order drinks from staff on floor you have to go down the bar which is very annoying when ur on the balcony right at the back of the restaurant.
