The most refined vegetarian cuisine I have enjoyed. The presentation, flavors and attention to detail rivaled meals we have eaten in some of the finest restaurants around the world. It was truly a cut above every vegetarian restaurant. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall it exceeded expectations in all respects. The only negative was that the meal took quite a long time to conclude, about an hour and 20 minutes with dessert, at lunchtime, so those on a tight schedule might choose to block out some extra time. Just a block from the Roman baths on a quiet square, it is conveniently located.

I took a cooking class with a former chef from this restaurant and have been looking forward to going for a while - I was not disappointed. The flavors and attention to detail in each dish are quite formidable. Paired with a relaxed and modern ambiance, a recipe for success. I especially enjoyed the donkey tail carrots, caramelized carrots and a smokey flavor was a real winner. Even the bread with olive oil and dukkah was lovely. As the menu changes regularly, I look forward to coming again!

The plating was beautiful! We found this place while wandering down a little street in Bath. It was vegan and healthy, and it was so delicious!!! The space was cute and clean. The staff was super nice and friendly. Menus are seasonal so you can always find something new there. All yummy!!

Our tour guide recommended Acorn as a vegetarian option for lunch. I was really interested in trying the food, even though I'm not vegetarian. We ordered the 2 course prix-fix lunch menu and were able to try each other's dishes. We enjoyed the wild garlic and onion seed soup and the wye Valley asparagus dish.

OMG!!! This place is good! I wish it was in London. The starters and soup were off the chart. I started eating the cauliflower before I took a pic. Ohhh man. You need to go!!!

We really enjoyed our meal here. It's a little gem tucked away in an alley off the abbey. They make great use of textures and flavors--the lemon gel and foam made such a great accent I was still thinking about it the next day.

We tried everything on their Early Dinner: Starters: we liked the yellow split pea soup more than the carrot and cashew pâté. Mains: Calabrese broccoli and confit jersey royals, and slightly curried cauliflower--both good, had strong robust flavors. We also ordered the seasonal vegetables--delicious. Dessert: salted chocolate tart (very rich), and compressed strawberries (wonderfully refreshing after the chocolate tart). (We'll photos of everything.) Atmosphere was relaxed. We sat down about 6p and didn't leave till 8:15p, which was longer than we'd planned to stay, but that was ok. Friendly staff.

Wow- amazing meal and great value, we felt. Pea soup was so fresh and delicious! Beetroot starter was excellent; as was the cauliflower main. Leek and potato dish was outstanding As was the butternut squash terrine. Highly recommended!

Eat Food, not much, mostly plants. This is what the proprietor asks, but I'm afraid I cannot at this establishment. I'd eschew this notion due to wanting to chew on more of their striking potions stylishly and lip lip-lickingly applied to humble produce. I care not for how one has come to corrupt a carrot to make it tasty but this kitchen makes for a celebration. Dishes are bonafide in my eyes, delicious and seasonably sensational. Acorn are Organic Soil certified too. A Strawberry Thyme Martini to start with was daring and playful. My inner cynic (eye rolling at over styled Vegetarian terrain) melted away, silenced as I plunged into a hearty a brick of soft ewes cheese crumbling against an astonishing flush of rich juicy smoked then lavender infused confit Tomatoes, wildly I relished it with the pine nutty flecks of black tapenade dotted around it. Whoever recommended the accompanying Fleurie deserves a bouquet. Then to truly finish me off, a length, a perfect golden triangle, a tarty shard of salted chocolate; my goodness a deeply satisfying salted chocolate tart aside a rubble of crumbled Pistachio nuts, a simple sconce. For a Quenelle! A tantalising palate cleansing raspberry sorbet sat atop. Damn that dessert for taking away the tastes of mains, if I wasn't as stuffed as a marrow I'd have it all again. From great Oaks, sturdy shiny floorboards are made. On this restaurant floor Acorn have cheery collected assured staff tending to a bustle of good food lovers. I'm surprisingly satiated, blown away a little. I hope I've planted the seed of this Acorn enough to tempt you to visit. Book.

Amazing food! Staff was extremely lovely and sweet! The rhubarb dessert was absolutely delicious, it kept you wanting more. Presentation along with wonder flavor for all the dishes.

This is a really very, very good restaurant. The intimate interior and beautiful, timeless decor create an illusion of dining virtually in these guys’ home, and the passionate, caring and committed team build on that. The food is simply joyful. Three of us shared pretty much one of each small plate - which are really not so small, and it was honestly top notch. Dinner for three, including two glasses of very decent wine, came in at about £80, which for this standard of vegetarian cooking seemed like a bargain. Boof!

Lovely restaurant, quality food and a warm welcome from Ali (thank you). Small plates of food which add-up in cost plus service charge but we loved the delicious and quality vegetarian dishes very much. We will be back to try more food and to feel looked after by the caring service you provide. So delicious, we recommend the lovely food and service, you will loved it! Thank you, Oak Restaurant, Lyndon & Peter.

Lovely plant based restaurant in the middle of Bath. It is one of the very few that offers plant based food in that area. The service and the presentation were great. They forgot to add a little candle on the dessert I ordered for my partner's birthday, even though I requested it a day before and personally asked the waiter a second time when I arrived at the restaurant. But it happens... We opted for the "feast menu", it was incredibly rich and the dishes were nicely thought through. We loved every dish that was served on the table. Don't be fooled by the portions, they look small but they will fill you up before you know it. Would recommend if you're in Bath.

A very enjoyable dining experience. Staff are incredibly friendly and the dishes are so interesting and come quickly. The atmosphere feels relaxed. My friend and I couldn't stop talking about what we were eating, as the flavours were unique. Their homemade bread is delicious. The menu is constantly changing but we tried the purple sprouting, potato ravioli, mung bean fritters with chutney and chicory with blood orange. After enjoying our meal we decided to go for dessert as well. It's a shame because these were definitely not as nice as the main! The chocolate gnash was incredibly salty. Would have been happier to have skipped dessert. Overral a great evening and experience but I'll be sticking to the savoury courses.

Absolutely fantastic meal at Oak. Could not fault the service, the quality and the presentation of the dishes. Particular favourites would be the beetroot and the ravioli, but its hard not to mention all of the dishes. Will have to return to try the ones we didn't have.

An excellent vegetarian and vegan restaurant. We had the 5 course feast menu with wine pairing. The soup and ravioli were particularly delicious. The staff were super knowledgeable and very friendly. Highly recommend.

We wanted something healthy in the area and Oak was suggested. Both the food and service were amazing. I got the courgette flat bread and tomato (almond?) butter. The flat bread was my absolute favourite. The bread was also wonderful. 10/10 would recommend and will be stopping by again when next I’m in Bath.

Cute little place. Small portions and London prices but worth it if you like to try new things (we are not vegetarians). The bread and the artichokes were delicious. The ravioli were good too. Not a fan of the cauliflower stew and the cabbage (plus, the latter was messy to eat). The salad was quite meh. You'll need 2 1/2 or 3 plates per person. For parents: There is no nappy changing table but I'm not sure one would fit even if they tried, the bathrooms are tiny.

Walked past whilst wandering Bath and noticed the “small plates” offering.. so booked straight away for the evening. The setting is very relaxing, quite dark lighting, tables set up well and not overly packed in. Then service was so lovely and laid back. Offered advice and knowledge but never pretentious. The ravioli was so good we ordered another portion. Wine was delicious. Dessert was stunning! Recommended 4 plates and was the right amount. Overall what a pleasant surprise from a passing by find. Will recommend to any veggie friend coming to visit.

We had such a lovely dinner here yesterday! My girlfriends and I walked up without a reservation and despite it being a glorious summer evening on a v busy Saturday, Kyria (the sweetest host/server ever) squeezed us in and even treated us to the window seat, even though they needed it back for a reservation in an hour. So cozy! We were a little nervous about that time restriction, but needn’t have been, as the food came out fast. Everything was delicious! We each ordered two mains and one or two starters and found that to be a perfect amount of food. I especially loved the cauliflower and cannellini beans (had to get some yummy bread to soak up the delicate broth—so good, please make a cook book so I can have this recipe), and the roasted tomato and ricotta special was troppo buono as well. Paired with the recommended chilled red wine, couldn’t have asked for a better summer meal. What a lovely and memorable dining experience, easily the best of our time in England thus far. A huge thank you to Kyria (and the entire Oak team) for taking such good care of us!
