What a beautiful place to go have food & drinks. Located in the wonderful historical city of 'Bath', this place has some amazing vibes, man! I mean, the way we were taken care of is beyond amazing.
We had ordered chicken roast, some beer, coke and a whole host of desserts and everything was REALLY good. What I also appreciated about King Williams is the location. Absolutely stunning and the dining place itself is gorgeous! Kudos man!

Favorites eatery in Bath. Always adventurous food at very reasonable prices. The pub itself is a gem. Always feel like we have stepped back in time. Love it

The staff were very accommodating without a reservation on Easter Sunday.
Only a set menu was available (not the bar menu) - we found the starters to be great, almost fine dining style and the roasts for main were the best roast dinners we have eaten out for a long time. (We are from London and have tried quite a few pub lunches!)
The restaurant got busy from 2pm where service got less attentive hence 4 stars rather than 5. Great place for good food and good wine. £80 for 2 people - 2 courses and wine/coffee

Lovely warm and welcoming pub with a varied menu. Some pub classics as well as their al a carte, some local ales and friendly service.
We were very well looked after and really enjoyed our meal.

Absolutely outstanding.
Fine-dining-like dishes with the cosiness of a pub. Attentive and friendly staff.
Cannot recommend enough!

Lovely lovely food, service a little dour
Mother's Day so the place was very busy and this is definitely a place for slow food. However there were a few times when a smile from the waiting staff wouldn't have gone amiss. Can't fault the food though and my take away bag of 3 macarons for mother's Day

Went here a couple of weeks ago with my family on a Friday night. I don’t remember what everyone else had but my son and I both picked the pie special and it was probably the best pie I have ever eaten. I think it was beef and ale but it was too long ago. The staff were friendly and the decor very welcoming. We’ll be heading back for their famous Sunday roast shortly for sure.

Very cozy little pub with amazing food, not to be missed

Brilliant! Can't fault the food or the staff. If I was to offer a developmental point, my partner said that they could have curtains in the downstairs area to make it more cosy. I thought it was fine, but what do I know.
Honestly lovely place and excellent, original food to boot.

Had a wonderful evening here. The food was excellent, great flavours and seasonal ingredients. The complimentary mini pumpkin balls and cheese straws were lovely. Good wine, cosy setting and value for money too.

Perfect little spot, very friendly staff. Food looked great. Had a cocktail from the specials menu and some nibbles. Food menu looked good with a variety too. Small place so be quick to get a seat. Would go back again

Visited today as I was passing by and fancied a snack. The inside of the pub is cozy and quaint looking. I arrived towards the end of food service but was given a warm welcome nonetheless. I ordered a pie from the bar menu. Service was very fast and, although the serving size was small, it was perfect for the price and was very filling. The pie itself was delicious and it paired very well with the chutney. I had a chance to speak to the chef and I was told that the pies are homemade and we're in fact made this morning.
I will definitely come again and would absolutely recommend.

Lovely evening in a very special pub - thank you. Been many times for drinks/meals since moving to Bath but somehow not for a few months until last night. Always enjoyed the food yet it seemed to have gone up a notch (might just be a failing of memory of course). The pheasant with the perfect ravioli and mushrooms was especially delicious and great to have a brownie that was neither soupy nor cakey - just firm on the outside and gooey chocolatey inside. Loved the atmosphere too in the candlelit upstairs room though the pub part just as much fun at lunchtimes especially. Very efficient and friendly service too. Highly recommended and we won't be leaving it so long before we go again.

This is a gem of a pub with much higher standard of food than you'd expect from a gastropub. It's quite samll and the food may arrive slower than you'd expect but we realised this was because all the food is cooked from scratch. We had one of the specials, and the steak was cooked to perfection, chicken wings (bone removed) had a lovely southern-style coating, the pork wasn't dry but very white and moist. The thick cut chips were lovely too. An imaginative and well-executed menu that is much better than Chez Dominique (which won Best Steak for The Bath Good Food Award in 2017) and the steak was much better too. I would definitely recommend this again and it was very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and efficient and the wine excellent but the food is the star.

I consider myself lucky to live so close to this pub, an institution in Bath. Cosy, warm atmosphere with great selection of beers and ciders, and very friendly staff. Arguably one of the best Sunday roasts in town, with excellent other dishes throughout the week (had an amazing fish and chips recently).

My wife & were talking about favorite meals after 3 weeks in France & England. The King William was it for both of us. I had a rump steak with a veggie sideboard & chips with local ale that I can still taste -- and that's a good thing. Very friendly staff, great ales & ciders. Worth the short walk from downtown.

Nice quiet pub out of the centre, apart from the continuous traffic on main road. Very nice pint of their own bitter, called 'King William'. Didn't try the food but it looked good from what I saw on the neighbouring table.
