When you visit Bath, you can just get overwhelmed by the choice of places to discover and where to stop for a bit to enjoy a nice coffee and a great breakfast. We actually probably walked 20 minutes pondering where to go until we saw Cafe Retro around the corner. It was the perfect stop! Great atmosphere, good choice of tasty food and beverages. It really helped us relaxing before going back out to enjoy playing tourists! Worth a stop if you are in Bath.

A great place for a quick bite to eat after visiting the Roman Baths. The service was friendly and quick. The food was good and there are plenty of options to choose from. What's the daily specials and what looks like some very tasty desserts. Cafe Retro was on the small side but it was cosy and just what we needed for an afternoon meal.

It's a nice cosy place with really friendly staff. It is perfect for families and groups of people. I ordered the retro English breakfast. I also ordered a single shot latte but I got a double shot instead. The coffee is not worth ordering as it was burned and took ages to cool down. However the manager was lovely and I didn't even ask for a refund when she told me she would refund the coffee that I didn't touch at all. 4 stars for the service and breakfast.

The portions were pretty small compared to what I'm used to but the food itself was freshly cooked and could not be faulted. The staff were very friendly and were attentive throughout our visit. One thing I did comment on at the time was the fact the sausage would've been better if it was more herby, it tasted like the sausages used in a sausage in batter at a chip shop. I guess that's personal preference and would recommend this place to others for a reasonably priced bite to eat a cooked breakfast in Bath centre.

Whilst looking around the area and deciding where to eat , we found the Cafe Retro and had a really nice breakfast here. It wasn't a cheap meal but you are worth remembering 'you get what you pay for' and we certainly did. It was nice well cooked quality food, of which we both enjoyed. It's a shame we didn't get back there for a dinner too as I'm sure that would've been just as tasty. Lovely staff and excellent service. Thanks

Bar far the friendliest cafe I’ve been to on my trip to the UK! The staff were bubbly, attentive and so so so so welcoming and friendly! And the food was delicious. What a delight!

Visited on a Friday late morning,1030 ish. Small, busy cafe. Popular with the locals. Ordered a big breakfast, was delicious. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Also offer dairy free options on the drinks. Lovely staff. Children welcome too, colouring books and reading books on the side. Lovely atmosphere.

The staff were extremely friendly and polite. They were cheerful and happy to help - offering to fill our water bottles without us asking. Coffee was hot and the mug was as advertised, a mug, not a tea cup! Great place.

Yesterday 06 Dec Had Hungarian goulash, Nice and peppery delicious with lots of dipping bread Worth every penny. Much nicer than the all day breakfast. Look at the Specials before ordering bit dearer but worth it. Service Good very attentive staff.

Delicious food ! That's all I have to say. The prices are also affordable. Its a good place for a quick bite at lunch time. One of the bad things is that they have a lot of problems with the card machine, so if you have cash it's faster. They have many vegetarian dishes and their skyscrapers are a must try. Cafe retro is quite popular, so if you have a big group you most likely won't find a place to sit.

Great English breakfast at a very affordable price (between £7-£10)! Vegan option available, light to full breakfast, great hot drinks (hot chocolate, vanilla/hazelnut latte, home tea, etc.). Definitely worth the money! Also, the waiters are lovely!

Quality French cafe. Has some amazing food options and it's all good quality. Went there with my friends and all had the large breakfast, everything was well cooked and it was nice to have the option of fried or normal bread. The service was friendly and welcoming. Prices were as expected, my only issue were that the tables were a little cramped.

A great little cafe with a quirky interior the retro breakfast is a good size with quality sausages and great fried bread the bacon wasn't fatty but seemed to lack a bit of taste on this occassion. Staff a friendly and food came quickly... Always visit when in Bath

In a city spoilt for choice when it comes to dining, you might be surprised to know just how difficult to find a really nice cafe that serves great food on a Sunday. Cafe Retro ticks all the boxes. Not only is it set in a lovely location with a wonderful big bay window but the staff are always so friendly. The atmosphere is very chilled and you do find yourself wanting to watch the day away over a coffee listening to the banter from the staff. The food is excellent and in the years I've been coming here it has always been 5/5 Well done Retro! Keep it coming.
