Great food, great atmosphere, turn up early if you want Sunday roast, it gets busy and I don't believe you can make a reservation, however if you do miss out on the roast there are other options available from the menu and specials board so you won't go hungry.
Brilliant night with the amazing Jukeboxers in ideal country public house. Warm and friendly atmosphere provided by owner's and staff.
Went for lunch while on a circular walk. Good menu of mainly pub classics plus a specials board with 6 or so extra items. Not expensive. Probably not the widest choice to evaluate on as we had 2 beef lasagna, 1 veggie lasagna and a beef and ale pie. All good sizes, nice veg or salad and tasty. Will
We drove past on our holiday and loved the flowers outside and just how pretty it looked so a couple of days later we popped in for lunch. The menu is pretty much the standard pub affair but the food is delicious and the staff helpful and polite 😋
We booked last minute to have lunch here with a friend, whom we had not seen since September 2019! The lunch was excellent, chosen from a wide-ranging regular menu as well as a 'Specials' board. The generous portions meant that we couldn't manage any of the delicious-sounding desserts, just coffee!
Went here for dinner on a Monday night with my daughter and husband . Very good menu and a great selection of specials all at excellent prices. The meals are all substantial, we couldn't have three courses as we were too full after starter and mains. When we go again we won't have starter so we can
Lovely meal, no waiting, and happy staff. What more could you want.
Passed by today as fire service were putting out the fire that has engulfed & destroyed this once beautiful inn. My heart, thoughts & prayers go out to the owners, residents & staff here. I pray that everyone is safe & well. I pray that any loss anyone suffers is minimal. I wish you all good heal
Driven past many times in the past 30 years without stopping here. I hadn't realised what I have been missing. We had a great light lunch in the beer garden, baguettes superb value and good quality. Good pint of Butcombe. Totally recommend and we will visit again.
Tried this Inn out as have passed by many times. A pleasant location well set out to deal with CV19 and a simple menu for a pub. The food was good my group was three in total we had no complaints. The service was very attentive and efficient. I would go back again.
The meal was good value and the Quality of the food was good. The menu is varied and well presented. There is a bar which is busy which is unusual these days. It was good to see a bar so well supported by local people. The car park is up a hill at the side of the pub and steps lead you down to the b
Lots of great choice in food. Very generous portions and all freshly cooked. Specials to lighter bites. Great choice on drinks. Pub 300 years old, 2 bars and restaurant. Great for a drink, meal and family get togethers. Plenty of parking.
Great food, service and good value. Would highly recommend this pub
What a great little place! The service is always friendly, the food has never disappointed and you can always get parked(in rear car park). The staff are cheery and welcoming, they really make you feel at home. It's only a small place but it's quality not quantity! Never had a bad experience here. Y
Good for a quiet midweek evening drink - really pleasant sitting inside or in the beer garden. Plenty of parking at the back, though no wheelchair access from that car park, but limited parking on front gives you good access. Nice range of drinks, friendly staff and good service.
Lovely pub, great food. Car park at rear next to Nice beer garden. Well worth a visit.
