We stopped here about 2pm as "walk in customers " for Sunday lunch en route from Kent how to Midlands via M40 to break our journey, after all the congestion on M25 We were greeted friendily by our waiter Manu who was very polite attentive and helpful. He kept us updated on progress with preparing our food. The atmosphere in the place was very welcoming clean and tidy, They clearly welcome families and young children as we saw severalvchild seats/high chairs and games, puzzles etc to keep them amused. Food was not cheap, but was fabulous very well presented, and cooked perfectly. I had belly pork roast and my partner had the roast beef, we had a glass of house rose(also not cheap) and with the small deserts and coffees and tip it came to over £88 for two. (With no starters or sides.) The toilets were upstairs and well kept and clean, although the flush was too slow re-filling in the gents. . Thoroughly recommended, and it was expensive but worth it to not dine in a chain establishment.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner while in Lockdown but, allowed to dine outside, luckily they had a table as we hadn't booked. The food and service were 5 star. The food is some of the best I've had. I love my food to be hot, not warm, not right temperature to eat but piping hot and I'll let it cool down and this is exactly how it came out; which was perfect as we were outside on a chilly day. I had the pie with mash. The mash is the best I've had, smooth and buttery. My partner had the fish cakes which were nice and light. The service was fantastic, polite, friendly and timely. I'll definitely be coming back to see what the ambience is like inside and try something else on the menu.

Lovely little stop at the The White Horse for a couple of drinks. Very nice and attentive staff, great drinks selection and the food looked good too, tho we didn’t eat. Dog friendly, great outdoor area at the front and inside was nice. Mens loos could do with more attention, hence the 4 star. Will update after my next visit.

Absolutely blown away by the friendly staff and excellent food! One of our party was gluten free and was very pleased with the choices available and the gluten free fish and chips was one of the best he had ever tasted!

Highlight of our trip away. The pub decorations is really nice, so much to see and all the staff were really welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, duck pancakes for starters especially. Would highly recommend a visit.

A real asset! What a welcome. Natalie our waitress did not know we had a horrendous drive down from Stratford but was incredibly welcoming when we walked in. Advice on food and drinks was accurate and helpful. She operates well above her pay grade. Don't lose her!

Very tasty food, with the lovely waitresses. Inside the restaurant is beautifully arranged with plants spread across the room. The most beautiful thing about this restaurant that you can bring your well behaved dog in.

We visited on a Saturday late lunchtime. Good choice of dishes on the menu. And a nice choice of ales for the hubby which he thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely atmosphere and decor, friendly staff and very good C-19 measures which they have worked hard to get right. We ordered king prawns and halloumi fries for starters. Prawns were excellent, fries a bit underwhelming. Mains were ribeye steak and duck breast. Both were presented well with nice accompaniments, but both the beef and the duck had little flavour. The duck was also overcooked and served upside down (skin side down, soggy in gravy) in two, 2cm thick slices. We had to have a word about the duck as it was left half eaten, and the courteous and friendly manager took it off the bill. Puds were good; a superb brownie and a passable sticky toffee pudding. We've eaten in this chain of pubs before and had better food, with a more home-cooked feel. The White Horse has so much going for it and a good position in Beaconsfield. It would be an outstanding pub if the kitchen could raise its game a little.
