We've eaten here before and it's a great spot (the scotch eggs are amazing!). More recently though The Hebridean catered our wedding at Camp Katur, and Adrian and the team pulled out all the stops to make it absolutely amazing.
We didn't want traditional wedding food, which worked perfectly as there was no set menu that you pick from - instead we met with Adrian at the bar and talked about what kind of dishes we wanted. He pitched in some great ideas, and the whole thing felt collaborative rather than just a caterer telling us what we could have from a list.
From our (admittedly limited!) instructions, he was able to go away and build out a full three-course menu plus evening food, and catered for veggies, vegans and people with some very specific allergies!
The food itself was amazing, and all the guests commented on how good it was and how generous the portion sizes were. My uncle still won't stop going on about how good the fish was a week later, and even the band we had commented on just how good the evening meal was.
Adrian, Penny and the team went above and beyond every step of the way, and a special thanks to their daughter Tia who helped source some particular hard-to-find beers we requested - it was greatly appreciated!
I would 100% recommend The Hebridean to anyone, either as a place to eat or a caterer for a big event.
A great place to have a beer, especially on a sunny summer evening. It is situated near a camp site so plenty of greenery around, and no city crowd/traffic. Bar has indoor as well as outdoor seating. Plenty of space, and parking is just on the front. Food is decent too. We tried pizza and burgers. Reservations recommended if you are planning dinner. Breakfast menu also looks great, though we didn't try it.
Cannot recommend Adrian, Penny and all the team enough!! We recently had our wedding at Camp Katur and the Hebridean bar and grill catered for around 80 of our family and friends who were glamping or staying at nearby hotels the night before the wedding and ran the bar on our wedding day...everyone was more than happy with the food, staff and atmosphere. They provided top quality food and customer service whilst suffering from staff shortages due to isolation and all our guests keeping them super busy behind the bar across the two days!! They looked after us from start to finish and will definitely be back for plenty more visits. Thank you for everything!!!

So excited to write the first Google Review for this new restaurant!
Loved it! It is a beautiful restaurant with options for inside or outside dining, set within beautiful grounds.
We were staying at the Camp Katur site, so this was super convenient for a meal out , although it's open to everyone, regardless of if your staying on site or not.
The food was perfect! We ordered gourmet burgers which come with with delicious chunky chips / slaw / onion marmalade and salad. Pizzas from a wood oven were delicious too. The chef did us a generous side of grilled halloumi, even though it wasn't actually on the menu and that made our night! Lol!
We saw other people with what looked like amazing salad dishes and others with steaks that looked fabulous too.
They don't have an official children's menu, but pretty much all the menu options (except steaks) can be ordered at half portion size and half price - so that worked out really well for us too.
Staff were very friendly and efficient. Toilet areas were clean.
Highly recommend! And when we return to Camp Katur in October, we will definitely book to return to this restaurant again.
Myself and 5 family members visited here the last 2 nights. Its a lovely place, the staff are all welcoming, professional and very friendly. Drinks are great and the food was amazing. I had jerk chicken the first night and steak the second...couldn't have been better, great service, great price and bloody lovely! 😍
Gorgeous bar/restaurant nestled beside where we were staying. Excellent staff, really friendly and welcoming and a special shout out to Ellie who looked after us so well all night and we also learnt that she had relatives from the same town as us...small world!

Another great meal at the Hebridean, lovely food and wine in a relaxed outside area.
