What a fabulous service from fabulous people. I held my birthday party at the Tavi Bar last weekend and it was just exceptional. The food was of the highest standard and Sonia, who looked after us, went to every length to ensure all my requests were met. My guests were very impressed. Whether you're looking for somewhere to hold a party or just fancy a meal; Tavi Bar won't let you down. Excellent.

I'm absolutely mad about the lamb chops! I think I've tried them in the whole town ;) but the ones I had in Tavi, were definately Ferrari kind of lamb chops!! Marinated first, then grilled and so meaty. OMG so delicious! Service was absolutely fantastic, the manager Sonia, herself in person asked us if we enjoyed the food. Absolutely we'll go there again, cant's wait to try other dishes - but always going first withe the lamb chops :D Highly recommended!

Fantastic staff and exemplary customer service. The best place to drink and dine in Bedford. A huge thanks to Ramona and Charlie for making our night out so memorable. Sublime all round experience. “

Food is amazing, so full of flavour. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Great place to socialise, eat and for entertainment. Highly recommend 👌

We waited 50 mins for all our food to arrrive. We told them to bring all the food at once but the prawns arrived first which were overcooked and rubbery. Had to ask for cutlery. Large mixed grill was disappointing with the chicken being dry and tough. Naans were ok and don't get me started on the salad portion size and price. Really wanted this place to be great but big letdown.

They also have a small hall for events .
We have a great lecture evening followed by dinner.

We went here on Tuesday evening for my Birthday dinner and i was really disappointed!! I ordered the liver and onions, mash and veg as i didn't fancy carvery. My plate was brought to the table and on it was....a bed of sloppy mash with peas mixed in it surrounded by an overflowing moat of gravy and perched on the top was three pieces of leather, that were masquerading as liver, and some bacon and onion slivers on the top....YUK!!! No one asked if the food was ok not even when clearing my still rather full plate...bit of a giveaway really as it was inedible. The dessert menu was ok but no thought for anyone with a Gluten allergy as the only thing available to me was ice cream.
We had been sat opposite the door which was rather cold and drafty whenever it was opened and i suppose we could have asked to be moved (the place was virtually empty) but it would have been nice for someone to notice that i was sat with my coat on for most of the meal. At 10 o'clock as we were the only people there the staff started shutting up shop and bringing all the signs and flower tubs in so we took the hint and left...never to return again.

Went for a birthday breakfast for my husband in April with our family, kids, wives, partners & grandson, lots of us, ate in the sun room, lovely room, great service & lovely food. Have been for meals here too, beautiful food off the menu and the carvery is amazing, highly recommended. Helpful staff.

Had booked table for 6 with family. Friendly staff. Asking what drinks we would like when we arrived. Lovely carvery. Gammon was melt in the mouth. Vegetables lovely and not overcooked. There was a vegetarian option for carvery. Dessert portions ample. I find so many desserts nowadays are so large but what I had was fine (Icecream). Would consider going again.
Also toilets were very clean and tidy. Just one small thing. The tap was quite fierce and ended up with a fair amount of splashing on the floor!

Had Christmas day dinner. Lovley friendly staff. Table was set out ok table cloth paper place mats cutlery and cracker. Starters was lovley and tasty nice amount of prawns. Main meal was perfect. I had the salmon. Desserts wasn't great the Xmas pud was so small even a child would have wanted more. And to finish mince pies that was very small one bite size.
Price a little steep for what it was.

7pm on a Sunday evening and the place was almost empty. During our meal, no one else used the carvery. ALL food was slightly warm at best. The roast and boiled potatoes looked/tasted microwaved. The almost empty small serving dishes of carrots, broccoli, green beans and cauliflower had dried out due to sitting so long under the lights untouched. No peas (most peoples' favourite). The gravy was like a brown jelly.
£9.95 for the carvery. The price has gone up, whilst food quality seriously down.

Came across this pub by chance as needed something quick to eat before going to gig at Esquire. Food was so good. Husband had really good carvers while I had pasta dish with best garlic bread ever. Even glass of red wine exceptional. All the staff who served us very smiley and professional. Will definitely be back.

I always enjoy the food here. It is tasy, fresh, fairly priced AND the staff are always cheerful and helpful!! It is sometimes very busy and rather stuffy but.....you cant have it all! Carvery and menu food is all scrummy

Clean & generally friendly place.Carvery is good value for money. There are better in Bedford but more expensive.Only downside was the chef took ages to come out to serve me and then made it feel like he was doing me a favour.
