My husband celebrated his 70th birthday in December & rather than a party, he wanted good food with good friends in good atmosphere. Well, had to be here! He's been coming here for 40 odd years & it is always good. A few changes since the last time we ate in (we often have takeaway) but as we remembered, staff excellent, food superb, an evening we thoroughly enjoyed. Really must make the effort to dine out more often as there are options on the in-menu that aren't available as takeaway - the lamb shank was utterly divine. Thank you.
We love The New Bombay - have been eating there for years. Takeaways are equally as good. It’s the best.

Wow! This place is a real hidden gem and one we’ll certainly be returning to when we next gig in Bedford.
We booked in advance as we needed a table for eight scheduled for approximately 10.15pm. Despite it being late, they agreed to take our booking and fortunately we managed to arrive on time.
The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely amazing with some interesting choices on the menu.
We couldn’t have faulted the ambiance or anything else for that matter. Price wise they were very reasonable, especially as we are used to London prices.
We will definitely be back!
We ordered curry for our wedding from New Bombay for 20 people and needless to say it was a hit. The food was amazing, they delivered everything on time and they made it easy to identify each person’s order. All of our guests were happy with their chosen meal, where all orders were correct and still very hot when they arrived.

Was visiting Bedford so on recommendation booked a table for 2. Was not disappointed. Food outstanding. Service great. Staff very attentive. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend a visit. Will definitely be back.
A friend and I dined at New Bombay for the first time last night. The service given by the staff was warm, friendly and attentive without being overbearing which set the tone for what was an enjoyable meal. We were able to select our starters and mains without feeling rushed, from a varied menu which wasn't to extensive. My friend and I ordered the King Prawn Puri for starters which was very tasty. The prawns were tender and served in a delicious, spicy tomato masala sauce, served on a crisp and light deep fried puri. For our mains my friend ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala curry, and I ordered the Prawn Biryani. The waiting time between courses was just right in my opinion, enough time to allow a the conversation to follow between courses. The portion sizes are very generous, maybe to generous as I couldn't finish all my main (which for me is a rarity). The food is tasty and at a very reasonable price. We shall return again. Thank you for a lovely meal.
Outstanding service. Young man called Khaled took our order and recommended us the Shashlik Bhuna and was I glad I listened! Moorish and succulent they’re not shy with their portions!! Very reasonably priced thank god there is Indian restaurants like this still around!!

First time takeaway since it's been under the new management (I know, we're a bit slow on the uptake - it's nearly 2 years since they took over!!) and what a find.
A Monday night takeaway - the food was delicious and the service first class. It's taken us a while to find them but we will definately be back very soon.

This old establishment is the place for beautiful spicy curries. I have never been disappointed and have always enjoyed my visits. The staff are always friendly and polite and the pricing here is considered to be moderate. They do provide takeaway upon request.
Excellency is what comes to mind on entering premises. staff are well presented and make sure customers are ok and comfortable. Menu is varied and all food is amazing and delicious. really lovely and spacious set up and is always busy. prices are very reasonable. it's only just opened but is takeing off extremely well. Enjoy.💖
