A lovely little pub set in the middle of nowhere on country roads waiting to be discovered. We had 3 roasts there and we weren't disappointed. The service was very quick and efficient, and I have to add, that the roast potatoes were some of the BEST IVE EVER HAD !! Dogs are welcome. A large garden seating area that's also suitably enclosed and safe for dogs. ( even a chihuahua ) We shall be returning to try the basket food in the week. Definitely recommended, and run just like a pub should be!!!

Under new management. Steak was awesome, get the peppercorn sauce, someone knows how to cook! Sticky toes pudding took me back to my childhood.

We were on a motorbike ride out and a friend recommended we stopped here as he'd been here before but not for quite a while. I have got to say that it was one of the mostly lovely place to visit!! The bar lady was so welcoming, happy and friendly. Bless her she couldn't ha e done enough to help! Normally I am quite apprehensive about walking in a 'local' but everyone in the bar area was just so lovely, welcoming and chatty!! Highly recommend a visit!!

First ever visit and found a decent selection of beers, including a very nice guest. Food was excellent (had the fish and chips, which was superb) and the service too.

What a lovely pub this is I have been there twice and see the new year in with the guys… Jan and all the staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere in the pub is so clam and friendly the locals are all so welcoming. And! As for the food!!!! All I can say is wow!!! It’s amazing and to such a high quality for a great price… I would fully recommend going and having a nice meal with a pint and some lovely company!

Decided to eat out on a Weds night, thought we should ring ahead to check availability. Glad we did, we got the last available table for two. Weds was Steak night, normal menu available, but also Sirloin, Rib-eye and Fillet steaks. We had the Rib-eye and the Sirloin, very happy with our choices, and very full after. We couldn't manage dessert, but many others did. Restaurant area is separate from main pub drinking area, think there were 5 tables for eating. I did notice Basket meals also available, presumably in bar area. Would recommend, but ring ahead to be sure of a table.

I don't regularly reviews places but I must admit this small pub, put the way of the A6 is a great little place to go, especially for a quiet drink in a nice atmosphere. Haven't tried the food yet so can't comment, but for what I want in a pub I can't fault it. Owners are really nice (Celtic supporter so cannot complain at all!!) Have gone back several times and keen to ensure it stays strong.

Very good village pub, new ownership has brought a great choice of ales and other beers and ciders which are changed regularly. A great selection of non alcoholic beers and ciders not just the go to Staples. Food is good. And Harry , his wife and staff are very welcoming and you can see how much effort they are putting in I wish them all the best.

Absolutely super meal😋 I had a fillet steak perfectly cooked, the meat obviously sourced from a good butcher as well. It had all the trimmings -included chunky chips, a lovely dressed salad, peas, mushrooms and onion rings. All for the price of £15:95.! Richard and Jill are lovely hosts, making the visit welcoming and warm 😊
