This is probably the best chip shop in Bedford. Always go here when I'm in town. The food is always fresh and hot and always served by friendly staff. Always consistent

For me this shop still does the best fish and chips in the world. Grow up, eating from here and the shop has been consistent. Still taste the same as when I had it 30 odd years ago. I have lived in Bedford over 2 years & only discovered Golden Chicken a few months ago & can honestly say it’s great quality fresh fish & chips in Bedford. I have been all over London to Sample Fish n Chips this place takes some beating & Price is also very good. Paul & Jacqui

Having moved from London i can honestly say that this chippy ranks up there with the best of them. Very good flakey cod, batter is always crisp but not over cooked. Gino and Andy are local legends always met with great service and a giggle 5* 👌

Good fish lightly battered (can have non battered). Chips generally good too but poor weather last year and early this year keeping crops down. Crazy service times - well one of them?? 😁
