Pete's Frootique & Fine Food

This place has definitely gone downhill. When ordering anything at all from their deli side you can stand there for up to 5 mins just waiting for anybody behind the counter to actually come over and help you. Even if they work the lunch line side and see you, they don't even find somebody working the glass fridge side to help you. It used to be that anybody who was on lunch line would also help the other side. But now they rather pretend you're not there so they dont have to serve you and they stay standing in the same spot pretending they're wiping the same counter spot for those 5 minutes that they pretend you don't exist. They are often out of a lot of popular foods they make themselves....so maybe adjust the amount being made to fit the amount being purchased, this should be easy as it's their own homemade products made in their kitchen and not ordered (so no excuse).

My brother-in-law introduced me to Pete's Frootique, and there's no turning back!! I am soooo happy that I've discovered Pete's Frootique!! I live in Fall River, but it's well worth the drive to Sunnyside Mall in Bedford. The guy at the meat counter today was very helpful and friendly... the BEST!! I told him it was my first time at Pete's Frootique and he welcomed me with open arms!! Such a wonderful person!! In short order, I have quickly become a BIG fan of Pete's Frootique!! I will DEFINITELY be a return customer!! Once a week (maybe), once every two weeks FOR SURE!! They have won me over, and won my business!! I'm a "lifer" now.

Beware of the sandwich place outside of the grocery store. Their great-looking menu coupled with decent prices will lure anyone with a slight appetite in, and once you get your food this might be justifiably so. However, it’s the getting your food part that always blows our minds. I honestly don’t think I have ever experienced slower service… and that says a lot considering the general pace of customer service in the east coast. Doesn’t matter if you’re the only one there, if you don’t have 20+ minutes to wait for your food, don’t bother. They always seem to be out of one or two items that are meant to go on your sandwich, despite being attached to a literal grocery store.

I love Pete's! My husband is from the UK, and when we moved here from Ontario I was worried about where we would get all of our favourite products! To date, I have been able to find everything we need! Outside of UK products, their produce and baked goods are amazing quality, and they are often fully stocked. I also love that I can buy individual pieces of produce (like one carrot) instead of a 2lb bag I don't need and often goes to waste. The team works hard to keep the store clean, too. Their deli/food bar has a really great variety of different foods; We love getting our ingredients here for charcuterie because of the broad selection of products. Their meat counter is exceptional quality and we can often find obscure produce and proteins here. They also make excellent cheese and meat boards! So glad to have a store like this close to home! If you like to purchase seasonal items from the UK, be sure to buy early as they sell out quickly. One of our most exciting discoveries recently is Farm Boy products, as it was our go-to market when we lived in Ontario.
