Ground Espresso Bars Bedford

I love coming here. It’s down the road from me, super convenient if I’m running errands, and a lovely bright and airy space. The food and drinks are tasty and generally the staff are friendly and helpful. Got a couple of issues: - despite closing at 8, they turn the ovens off at 5,30-6 (not sure what time exactly, hasn’t seemed consistent) which is sad for those of us who finish work around that time and would like a hot sandwich - sometimes the staff will carry on their own conversations whilst serving me. I’m not here to police who you can talk to, there are plenty of opportunities to chat to each other on the job, but whilst you’re taking my order or my payment? That’s rude However, I do keep coming back because it’s a pleasant place to be. It wouldn’t take a lot to make this place a 5 star

So slow qued 40 min for coffee. Had to empty dirty tables to get a seat. They were busy, and was lunch time so surprised staff were buying in front of que for their breaks. Not a break time at peak time, I'm sure Nice coffee though. And was relaxing when sat down. Like this place hasn't put me off but needs organising or staffing up! As helped clear table last visit.

A great cafe located upstairs in Next. I like my coffee and the team here take real care over the preparation. Not your usual high street mass produced coffee, it is much better. The food & cakes are really nice and I particularly spotlight the amazing Bacon Bagel and "Worlds best carrot cake"...yum Finally, the staff are a wonderful bunch. A really great spot for a cuppa.
