What a beautiful place for lunch. The fit out of the restaurant on the barge is just lovely. The staff are so polite and professional. The Christmas set menu was excellent. The Chowder was such a wonderful starter and full of flavour. The Pan Boxty was such a surprise in its presentation and was seafood perfect. The presentation of the meals was lovely and serving sizes generous. Desserts were just as good. A must visit in Belfast.
Excellent meal and great staff. Good choice of menu and some good beers and wine to choose from. Only one small problem just one toilet (disabled) tried to use the toilets facilities downstairs but although on the barge - they belong to a different company and wasn't allowed to use them, bizarre what would tourists think not a good impression surely something could be sorted out to allow restaurant customers to use these!
One of the best places to eat in Belfast. Food and service are of the highest quality and the fact that it's on a moored barge makes for a great talking-point. The dining space is small and intimate and the servers are always very keen to build up a rapport with you, explain the menu items and make recommendations.
As a guest of Northern Ireland tourism we're being well looked after. This is where we had lunch today, on a barge moored on the River Lagan. I had boxty, which is a thin potato pancake, filled with salmon, hake, and smoked pale haddock in a white wine and cream sauce, with veggies and sweetly dressed salad leaves. Jolly nice.
Have wanted to try here for a long time and finally got the chance back in September. Service was excellent, we were asked if we had been before and when we said no our server happily talked us through the menu with recommendations. Was an excellent experience food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. This is definitely up there with one of my best meals out. I will definitely be returning once restrictions ease and I cannot wait!
Lovely Boxties and one of the few places where you can get them. The menu isn't too big so you can only come here so often. But definitely worth going if you haven't been.
Also having food on a boat on Lagan River is an experience in itself. Make sure to book ahead if you want a seat with a view!
Excellent menu for both great food and drink options. Try one of their boxty main dishes for an excellent version of this traditional Irish dish. Better reserve ahead, seat are limited on the boat and the fold is epic!
If you want great meal that dosnt need any frills as the ingredients are so tasty and well prepaired then the barge should be top of your list. It also celiac friendly, the staff are very attentive and there is a good selection of wines and local beers. Its one of our top places to eat in Belfast and never disappoints.
Wow, what a great wee find. Good value and beautiful dishes. The crispy prawn starter was delish. I had the venison which was amazing and generously portioned. Staff all friendly, attentive and welcoming.
Nice experience with a cute view, the owner was very kind and the quality of food is top notch. Everything tasted great, only thing is that there aren't much choices to chose from the menu.
All in all I would recommend
Really great food. Had the Hake which was seasoned perfectly and was a huge portion. The prices are also very reasonable; we paid £40pp for a three course meal and wine.
Good atmosphere on the river and the open windows allow for a good fresh breeze.
My family went after my graduation ceremony. The food was very high quality and service was exceptional. The food itself was remarkable and I loved that the restaurant was on a boat. Absolutely perfect.
Lovely place and lovely food. Really recommend and of you haven't been yet, you have to... At least once.
One of the best resturants in Belfast! Fully deserve their high rating. Staff know the menu back to front and were happy to recommend based on your preference.
