My wife and I had the 7 course tasting menu but without the wine pairing on this occasion. The internal decor could be best described as sumptuous. Lots of curtains, soft furnishings and cushions. Very comfortable seating and a cosy atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive and each course was immaculately presented. Every dish was imaginative and combined interesting flavours. Excellent value for the standard of food and service.

The Saphyre is what I'd consider a once in a while treat. The price is high, the portions are small, but the taste more than makes up for it. The food I had was immeasurably tasty, each bite had your taste buds just lost in flavour. After a meal in here you will leave feeling great, as not only is the food amazing, the service is extraordinary, know when to approach and when to give space to those eating. Any moment I could think I would need a further drink, or any service, they asked me without me having to even turn my head to get a person's attention, almost eery. If wanting a treat meal, I very highly reccomend this, as I plan to return again here.

I’m always delighted with food at Saphyre, I’m there fairly regularly and I’ve written great reviews for them before, however I’d like to let you into a little hidden gem. On Saturday I took my dad down for lunch and was delighted to find that they had a £22 quid (or thereabouts) set menu and it was nothing short of glorious (pictures included) However the “hidden gem” was the atmosphere - generated by an guitar / vocal artist called Emily Rose. She sang a variety of songs with enormous subtlety (it’s an intimate room so it would be easy to overpower diners out of conversation- she never once did.) She came over to talk to us after she had finished her performances which I thought was a lovely touch and she was most personable and I found myself really getting enthusiastic about her craft. I wish her well with her music! Emily-Rose is a credit to Saphyre - she transformed fantastic food with tremendous service into a magical afternoon for my family. (And no I’m not related and I’ve never met her before Saturday!!)

We went for an Italian food and wine matching evening & were treated to some amazing food in a stunning location - set in an old church. Absolutely glorious! Loved the whole evening-what a treat for the senses!

If you're eating here... Just hand over all choice and responsibility to the restaurant. The tasting menu (food and wine) was faultless. Some clever cooking and surprises... A real delight.

Do an excellent value lunch menu (a 5-10-5), so 3 course of Michelin quality food for £20 is something you shouldn't miss. Shout outs to the best Korean Chicken I've had (just the right amount of heat and crisp/crunch, and very moist chicken), also to the Rhubarb Pannacotta which is probably the best dessert I've ever tasted in any restaurant (what do you do to make the honeycomb, it's unbelievable, as is the sorbet). Will be back again soon!

The best restaurant I have been to in years. It is hard to beat as the food is extremely good, service is up the highest standards, and the dinner rooms look incredible. The prices are a bit high but this is a full experience you buy and not only the food. This is a perfect place for a romantic dinner.

World class food, served in beautiful surroundings, inside an incredible building. Great service, interesting menu and excellent execution of each of the courses. Superb wine list, brilliant twists on classic cocktails. I can't fault a thing about my experience. Can't wait to go back.
