I've spent 5 years away from Belfast. Came back here, and the food is still amazing. Beetroot Wellington is extraordinary, sad that my favourite dish disappeared from the menu, but well it's been a while...
The ambience here is very Irish ☘️ the service might be a little bit slow because of abundance of customers, but very professional and friendly.
Morning Star in Belfast exceeded our expectations! We stumbled upon this gem because of the incredible singer, Nick Scot, performing outside. His mesmerizing performance made our night unforgettable. We couldn't have asked for a better evening. Fantastic job! 😍🎶
Was here a number of years ago and nothing has changed, food & service was excellent,. The staff very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit even just for a drink x
Had a lovely meal until the bill came and we noticed an extra £7 which was for gravy as 2 of us had a roast which had a very small amount of gravy so asked for some more (which I tend to do in most restaurants and have never been charged). I checked the menu and there was nothing stated that you had to pay for gravy, was informed that it was an extra sauce so please be ware and don't fall into the same trap. Every time we have been to Belfast have always had a few meals here but sadly won't return now.

In the 30 years I've been going, I've NEVER had a bad meal. The sizzling steaks are a must!

We came after the recommendation and were very satisfied. It was very tasty, interesting dishes, courteous service and a very pleasant atmosphere in the place. Also suitable for children.
Popped in out of the blue having passed and noticing the menu on the wall outside. Amazing beef and lamb menus. We were t too hungry but tried several small plates and starters, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was very cosy. I’d love to come back with more of an appetite to try the steaks!!
The carvery was excellent. Tasty food, lots of it and great value. My wife and I enjoyed it a lot.
Stumbled across this great pub, best pub food we have had on our 3 months in Europe. Best pub in Belfast for food and service! Came back twice, great steaks and pies we have come across! You won’t be dissatisfied.
