Comforting and homely. Love the chicken strips and they do the best afternoon tea in town if you book ahead! Beautiful specially made tiny treats! Fun shop downstairs too, and dog friendly. UPDATE: CLOSED! Absolutely heartbroken!! 💔💔

Lovely!! The staff were friendly and efficient, the food is beautiful we had breakfast and it was great! The lattes were made properly (it's be a long time since I seen this) everything was served quickly and hot! The gift shop is lovely with nice unique gifts.

Warm welcome from Caroline and her staff. Good home-made food at excellent prices. Doggies made to feel very welcome also. Olly just loves going there and being made a fuss of. Highly recommendable any time of day. Very easy parking. Good selection of gifts and cards also on sale.

lovely location. the old water wheel outside looks class. nice menu although on the day the chicken and ham pie had no pastry.... strange. lol had cheese and ham toasty with chips, cup of tea and a peanut type bun with chocolate on top. food great. less than a fiver not allowed on card payments. I placed my order and they missed the chips. tried to pay and I was refused. I was then given the chips for free. all round a crackin wee place to visit.

We had a great visit today with Alfie picking up his very own doggy treat card. The service was faultless and Tracy's friendliness made us feel very welcome. My daughter said it was the best hot chocolate she had had and the traybakes were delicious. It's wonderful being able to bring your dig: Alfie loved it.

Lovely freshly baked scones and buns, plenty of parking space. Friendly staff, only problem might be stairs up to cafe, which might be difficult for some people.

Recently had a retirement party at the Old Mill. Carolyn was a great party planner and she organised our theme around 'Country Rose'. There were 17 in our party, with others, calling in, just to say 'Hello'. We were all extremely well catered for. Atmosphere was warm and friendly, service was prompt, food portions were more than generous. Free corkage, which enabled us to toast our colleague, as she retires from her working life. There was no time limit, although the premises does close 4.30, but by then we laughed and cheered had numerous top ups, and were ready to leave. Thank you for catering for us all, we had a fabulous time. Highly Reccomended!!

Delighted to find they now have an area downstairs where you are allowed to bring your dog in with you. You can order the same food as upstairs. Wonderful!

My sister and myself have been going to the old mill for years for lunch every Thursday. I normally got the mince pie and salad and my sister had the quiche and salad but for some reason they changed the menu. There's no quiche and there's now individual mince pies with flaky pastry which was very disappointing. The home made mince pie was delicious and sold very quickly so I don't know why they changed it to individual pies with flaky pastry also my sister loved the quiche which is no longer on the menu so for that reason I'm giving 4 stars.
